Lori Dube and Constance Bauer, long time friends, embark on an intimate journey chronicling their deep conversations about life, love, and aging. As her cover picture surely attests, Constance is more "furious" with the aging process and the way women in their third act are ghosted by society, and Lori is more "curious" about how she can lean into and learn from this aging process. In this podcast we will unpack issues that are impacting the hearts and souls of women over 60, as we walk together into the unknown of what lies ahead for us all. We hope you will join us on this journey.

Lyrics to our Theme Song, "Woman," composed by Julia Fortman

You can’t break me down, ‘cause I’m a woman.

Strong and powerful, just like I should be.

Try to cut me out, I’d like to see you try.

We may not be young, but we’re still kicking.

Out and having fun, cause life’s worth living.

I’m not sitting down…you’ll see me eye to eye.

I’ll be here and relevant ‘til the day I die.

    2026/10/12
Today we meet with Diane Heiler, author of "A Widow's Fire," discussing her experiences with grief, remarriage, and the phenomenon of "widow's fire" - the intense physical and emotional craving for intimacy and touch after losing a spouse. Diane shares how her husband Al's dying words about her needing to find another man proved prophetic as she experienced strong desires for physical touch and connection after his death at age 80. She describes her new relationship with Bob, who accepted her continued love for Al, and discussed how she handled judgment from others about moving on too quickly. The conversation takes an unexpected emotional turn when Diane reveals she experienced three visits from what she believes were Al's deceased wife's spirit and his own spirit, which moved one of us to tears (I bet you can't guess which one). And don’t forget to hang around for our “After Thoughts” where Lori and Constance unpack the episode and chat about our thoughts on what we heard, and where we have started “Listener Shout-Outs,” and episode-based Challenges for our listeners. • You Can't Be What You Don't See!
    2026/09/14

Today, we talk about a superpower that society often tries to strip away from those of us in our 60s and beyond – the power of being seen.

Our guest, Stephanie O'Dell spent years styling over 6,000 women for brands like Athleta. In her 50s, she decided to completely reinvent her career and herself. With no prior experience running a talent agency, she launched Celebrate The Gray—a modeling and consulting agency that now represents over 400 silver-haired women who are redefining beauty.

Join us for real talk about trying new and hard things in your older years, anti-ageism, how to make yourself visible again, how AI is impacting the movement to age naturally, and real ways that you and I can play an important part in the campaign for ads depicting real, aging women. We end with a fun rapid-fire round of questions about Stephanie's favorite silver celebrities, best color for women over 60, and more.
