Are you truly bearing fruit in your walk with Christ, or are you simply going through the motions? In this powerful message, Pastor Isaac Hayes of Upper Room Fellowship Church shares a timely word about authentic faith, spiritual growth, and the importance of remaining connected to Jesus.

Drawing from Mark 11:13–14, 20–26 and John 15:1–8, this sermon explores Jesus’ encounter with the barren fig tree and the spiritual lesson behind it. Just as the tree had leaves but no fruit, we can appear religious on the outside while lacking the spiritual fruit God desires in our lives. Jesus calls us to go beyond appearances and develop a genuine relationship with Him.

Through Christ, we can produce the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. The key is to abide in Jesus, stay rooted in His Word, and allow the Holy Spirit to transform our hearts and lives.

In this sermon, you’ll be challenged to ask yourself:

Am I truly connected to Christ?

Is my life producing spiritual fruit?

Am I living out my faith or simply looking the part?

What areas of my life need to be surrendered to God?

Remember: Don’t just look like a Christian—abide in Christ and bear fruit for His Kingdom!

In this sermon, “Be Strong and of a Good Courage” from Joshua 1:1–9, we examine God’s encouragement and promises to Joshua as he takes on the responsibility of leading Israel into the Promised Land following the death of Moses. Through this passage, we learn the importance of trusting God’s timing, standing firm in His Word, and having faith even when the challenges ahead seem impossible. Just as God promised Joshua that He would never leave him nor forsake him, we can find confidence in knowing that God remains faithful to His promises. We also explore the importance of meditating on God’s Word, walking in obedience, and understanding that true spiritual success comes from following His will rather than pursuing the temporary things of this world. Above all, this message reminds us to keep our eyes on Jesus Christ, trust in His finished work on the cross, and remain strong and courageous in our faith, knowing that our victory and eternal rest are found in Him.At Upper Room Fellowship Church, our focus is Christ and Him Crucified. In this sermon, “A Clean Heart,” Pastor Isaac Hayes of Upper Room Fellowship Church looks at Psalm 51:10–12 and the story of David’s sin, repentance, and restoration. After his sin with Bathsheba and his confrontation by the prophet Nathan, David cried out to God, “Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.” This message reminds us that no matter how far we have fallen, we can turn back to God, receive His forgiveness, and allow Him to renew our hearts and restore the joy of our salvation. We will look at David’s repentance, the danger of allowing sin to grow, the importance of keeping our faith in Jesus Christ, the work of the Holy Spirit, forgiveness, restoration, and the power of God to give us a clean heart. If you are struggling with sin, guilt, bitterness, anger, or simply feel distant from God, this message will encourage you to return to Jesus and trust in His finished work on the cross.
