We’ve been friends since we were kids, but if we met for the first time today… would we actually choose to be friends?

This week, we somehow go from remembering Friday nights at Blockbuster and running around Discovery Zone to realizing how many things we used to care about that just don’t matter anymore. Name-brand clothes? Expensive jeans? Yeah, our priorities have definitely changed.

Then we ask the question we probably shouldn’t have asked: Would we even be friends if we met today? The answer starts out pretty confidently… and then gets a little questionable.

We also revisit the absolute joy of apartment living: nightmare upstairs neighbors, banging broomsticks on ceilings, flooded apartments, busted toilet lines, and a few memories that probably should have stayed forgotten.

It’s nostalgia, questionable opinions, old stories, and the usual completely unnecessary detours.

Fresh off a Royal Caribbean cruise, David and Jenn are back home, back to reality, and apparently ready to make some questionable life choices.

This week, we're talking about our cruise experience, what changed onboard, the surprisingly simple way using someone's name can completely change an interaction, and why trying a shuttle service to Port Canaveral may have spoiled us.

Then David explains what he actually signed up for with HYROX Tampa. He's officially competing in his first HYROX relay, which means it's time to start running. There's just one small problem: his first attempt ended after a whopping 0.14 miles.

With HYROX training officially underway, we break down the relay format, David's burpee broad jumps and 1,000-meter row, the 0.62-mile runs he's somehow supposed to survive, and why paying money to voluntarily do all of this suddenly seems like a questionable decision.

Plus, we talk post-vacation exhaustion, five-hour naps, Oura Ring sleep tracking, carrying entirely too many chargers, and our sweaty adventure to the Queen's Staircase in Nassau.

It's another completely normal conversation between two best friends who somehow manage to turn a cruise recap, customer service, HYROX training, sleep, and Nassau into one episode.

Episode 52 of Unapologetically Us The Podcast starts with jumbo shrimp and somehow ends with toilet plumes, bidets, questionable bathroom habits, and a Wicker trailer that sends us straight down a TikTok rabbit hole.

Jenn's issues with food textures lead to a debate over shrimp, scallops, oysters, tomatoes, and all the foods she absolutely refuses to eat. Then David makes a discovery at 45 years old: apparently you're supposed to close the toilet lid before you flush. That revelation leads to questions about toilet plumes, what's actually floating around your bathroom, whether a toilet lid serves a real purpose, and why David has gone his entire life without thinking about any of this.

And because things weren't weird enough already, we watch the Wicker trailer and discover why Alexander Skarsgård's wicker husband has become a very strange topic of conversation on TikTok.

Getting older in your 40s is… an experience. 😂 This week on Unapologetically Us The Podcast, Jenn and David are talking about the very real signs that we're getting older, from forgetting things and losing words mid-sentence to choosing staying home over going out and wondering when our bodies decided to start betraying us.

But because this is Unapologetically Us, the conversation doesn't stay on aging for long.

We somehow end up debating whether chicken pot pie HAS to be round, how much work is officially too much work when you're trying to hide that you're a smoker, what actually qualifies as "bite-sized," the correct way to eat chicken wings, and why Jenn keeps putting food she doesn't want onto David's plate.
