    Welcome to The Wellbeing Room.

    In this episode I chat with Marlo Fisken, founder of Flow Movement.

    Marlo has been a mover all her life and she continues to explore movement and dance in unusual and innovative ways. She is probably most known as a pole dance innovator, having started experimenting with the pole well before there were mainstream competitions.

    Her business, Flow Movement, was born out of her desire to share the benefits of fluid, creative, dance-based movement with the world. The Flow Movement approach invites all people to move with imagination, sensuality, and sensitivity and to become more comfortable being on and playing with the floor.

    In this episode, I interview Julia Rossmanith.

    Julia is the mother of four children, has a Science degree majoring in Anatomy and Physiology, and is a certified practitioner of the Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy, Holistic Pelvic Care and Traditional Maya Healing.

    Through her business, The Nurtured Womb, Julia has worked with thousands of women to help them bring awareness, connection, and healing to their womb and pelvic area. Bringing a wealth of life experience and empathy to her healing practice, Julia integrates the spiritual, mental, emotional and physical bodies, creating safe spaces for women to address the impact of unresolved issues and unexpressed emotions on their physical and energetic wellbeing.

    Welcome to the Wellbeing Room.

    In this episode, I interview Katie Brown.

    Katie is a Sydney based yoga teacher who has been teaching for over 20 years. Not only does she teach yoga, but Katie is a devotee of relaxation techniques which she has honed throughout her years of teaching and working as a yoga teacher and massage therapist.

    Katie is passionate about helping more people experience the life-changing health benefits of guided relaxation and teaches enjoyable, relaxing classes with practices that can be weaved into daily life to ease stress and tension.

    She has a background as a professional writer and uses this expertise to craft her guided relaxation narratives and has published five books including The Relaxation Rainbow, Guided Relaxation, Mother Me, Restorative Yoga and her latest release, Peaceful Paws, which includes creative ways to connect and relax with your dog.

  • Whole Food Healing with Danielle O'Donoghue

    Welcome to The Wellbeing Room!

    In this episode, I interview Danielle O'Donoghue. Danielle is a Yoga teacher, whole foods chef, mum and all-round amazing human being. She lives in Katoomba in the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney and teaches classes, workshops and retreats from her gorgeous purpose built studio, the Octagonal Space.

    Danielle and I met many moons ago, in our early 20s. I’ve always been amazed by Danielle’s passion for whole food and gardening. I’ve asked her to join us in The Wellbeing Room today to talk about all things food and I’m sure we’re going to uncover some interesting things.

    In this episode, I interview Michelle Wright. Mish is a powerhouse in the world of fitness, women's health and education.

    With over two decades of experience, Mish's focus has been guiding women on their fitness journey whilst maintaining an awareness of the importance of pelvic health.

    Over the years, Mish has led corporate wellness initiatives, redesigned training programs for older adults, and developed over 30 online courses.

    Mish is a passionate advocate, mentor, and educator and shares her experience generously through her blog on her website. I was intrigued by one of her recent blog posts titled ‘How I quit Mummy Wine Time’ and this led me to ask Mish to join us here today in The Wellbeing Room.

  • Overcoming the Fear of Death with Mikki Brammer

    Welcome to The Wellbeing Room.

    In this episode, I interview Mikki Brammer. Mikki is an Australian writer and journalist, originally from Tasmania. She is now based in New York City, having arrived there via time spent working in France and Spain. As a journalist, Mikki writes about architecture, art, and design for a variety of well known publications.

    During Covid lockdown, in her apartment in NYC, Mikki penned her first novel - The Collected Regrets of Clover - which was published in 2023.

    I invited Mikki to join me in The Wellbeing Room to discuss the themes of her book which focuses on death and dying and our culture's way of dealing with, or complete avoidance of dealing with that inevitability.
