    2025/09/01

Prayer: The Missing Link in Your Marriage :: [Ep. 284]

Did you know prayer can transform your marital problems into opportunities for unity when approached as a genuine relationship rather than mere ritual? The same principles that govern a healthy marriage—connection, vulnerability, and consistent communication—also create a powerful prayer life.

In this week's podcast episode, we are talking about the following:

    • Sacrificial prayer intervention rather than passive observation is a powerful thing
    • When emotional connection is missing in marriage, others can fill that void
    • Physical passion in marriage prevents fear and temptation from taking control
    • Our relationship with God often mirrors our relationship with our spouse
    • Marriage forms a triangle with husband and wife at the base and God at the apex
    • Prayer should focus on God's will rather than our desires, similar to covenant marriage
    • Practical steps to implement today: prioritize God first, pray for your spouse daily, pray together regularly
    • Take turns leading prayer, worship together, attend church together, and share your testimony

We hope and pray you are encouraged and helped today!

    2025/08/25

Marriage Mindset Reset :: [Ep. 283]

This week, we explore how negative self-talk about our husbands can sabotage our marriages and how renewing our minds according to Romans 12:2 can bring transformation and healing to our relationships.

We will talk about the following:

    • Fearful thoughts and scorekeeping thoughts often create a transactional view of marriage
    • When we experience emotional pain, we can easily begin holding offenses against our spouses
    • Bitterness and unforgiveness transform us from being our spouse's advocate into being their adversary
    • Replace negative thinking by focusing on whatever is true, honorable, right and praiseworthy (Philippians 4:8)
    • Learning more about El Rachum (God of compassion) which teaches us to show compassion even when our spouse doesn't "deserve" it
    • The negative consequences of drawing lines in the sand
    • The effects of fear which leads to isolation which is dangerous to marriage, potentially leading to separate lives
    • What ends up on our tongues first starts in our minds, so we must learn to think life

  • Transforming Your Marriage By Changing Your Thoughts :: [Ep. 282]
    2025/08/18

Transforming Your Marriage By Changing Your Thoughts :: [Ep. 282]

In this week's episode, we are studying God's word to see how replacing negative thoughts about our husbands can profoundly impact our marriages and set relationships on new trajectories as we align our thinking with biblical truth.

We will talk about the following:

    • Thoughts are like seeds in our minds—they can be harmful weeds that choke our marriage or seeds that bring joy and peace
    • Negative thoughts about our husbands invite those thoughts to gain mastery over our emotions and conversations
    • Our standards often stem from our upbringing, culture, friends, social media, and become expectations for our husbands
    • God reveals Himself as El Hane'emen (the faithful God) and El Shaddai (the all-sufficient God) when we feel our needs aren't met
    • Replacing critical thoughts requires surrendering our standards to God and developing a servant's heart toward our husband
    • When our husbands struggle with obedience to God, we can nourish them with grace and truth rather than judgment

We hope that as you listen you are encouraged and helped!

  • The Silent Battle: How Your Thoughts Shape Your Marriage :: [Ep. 280]
    2025/08/04

The Silent Battle: How Your Thoughts Shape Your Marriage :: [Ep. 280]

Did you know that our negative self-talk about our spouses is quietly undermining our marriages by hardening our hearts and planting seeds of resentment? These mental arguments—whether it's "he just doesn't get me" or "why bother, he'll never change"—grow roots from our minds to our hearts that slowly choke our love.

With this in mind, we will be talking about the following:

    • Better understanding negative thoughts about our husbands
    • Exploring the desire to be seen and understood is powerful, and the effects caused when husbands miss this
    • Reminding ourselves of God as El Roy (the God who sees) which can fulfill our need to be known when our spouses fall short
    • How to fight the temptation to give up because nothing seemingly changes
    • How to replace negative thoughts with confidence that you are known by God
    • Remembering to tell yourself the gospel—what God has done for you— which shifts focus away from what your spouse hasn't done

We hope you can join us today and pray you are encouraged!!

  • Breaking the Silence + Reconnecting with Your Husband :: [Ep. 279]
    2025/07/28

Breaking the Silence + Reconnecting with Your Husband :: [Ep. 279]

Last week, we started talking to wives on how to (re)engage communication with their husband. This week, we are continuing the conversation. We will explore how wives can restore communication with disengaged husbands by addressing harmful communication patterns that create barriers to intimacy and connection.

We will talk about the following in this episode:

    • How common malice—the intention to vex, annoy or injure—is within our communication
    • Types of belittling behavior that is common and needs to stop
    • The effect of rejecting compliments and what that communicates to your husband
    • The effects of consistently seeking advice from others instead of your husband
    • Non verbals within a conversation that push your husband away
    • How to repair disconnection

If God has revealed areas where you've sinned against your husband, go to him and apologize specifically. Name what you've done, make it right, and express your desire to follow God and His Word.

We hope and pray you are helped and encouraged by this week's episode!

  • Your Words Matter: Why Your Husband Has Stopped Talking to You :: [Ep. 278]
    2025/07/21

Your Words Matter: Why Your Husband Has Stopped Talking to You :: [Ep. 278]

Are you a wife who is longing for better communication with your husband but unsure of just how to get him talking more? Communication breakdown in marriages often stem from habitual habits that many wives have developed when it comes to communicating with their husbands which can cause husbands to disengage rather than drawing them into deeper conversation. By examining these sometimes destructive patterns and replacing them with biblical approaches focused on respect, humility, and patience, wives can create an environment where meaningful communication can flourish again.

We will cover the following in this week's episode:
    • Evaluating wrong and right demands and their effects on the relationship
    • Right demands (biblically sound desires) can still damage communication when not presented respectfully
    • When passion about a topic increases, our respect must increase even more
    • Ways that wives unknowingly communicate distrust in both God and their husbands
    • Clothing yourself with patience, humility, and gentleness creates the space for real communication
    • Important questions to ask yourself

Wives, this week, commit to laying your demands before God instead of your husband, trusting His sovereignty rather than your control.

We hope you enjoy and are encouraged!
