Your marriage has a scoreboard, whether you meant to build one or not. We call it the “happiometer” and it’s the hidden gauge that decides if we feel satisfied, irritated, rejected, or “owed” something. When that meter runs our home, we chase quick relief and call it success, even when it pulls us away from God and away from each other.

Finally, Matthew 20 confronts our obsession with fairness through the workers in the vineyard, reminding us that forgiveness and grace in a Christian marriage flow from God’s generosity, not our deserving.
