Hayley can't be arsed to cook tea, and she's not alone - 50,000 women agreed within days.

That reel is the whole reason this podcast exists. This show is a commitment to ourselves: one thing, said out loud, that we refuse to be ashamed of anymore. Saying the things we're not supposed to say. Giving a voice to the women who've been silenced. Normalising the normal.

So in episode one, Sarah and Hayley sit down and actually unpack why that one sentence hit so hard: the good-girl conditioning, the invisible load, the shame that keeps women quiet.

They get into Hayley's health-anxiety story that ended in the back of an ambulance, meeting "Alan" (Hayley's name for her anxiety), Sarah's own volume switch for turning the noise down, and the field-sized canvas they both dream of painting themselves onto, whilst learning to put the music back on. They tap into their own knowledge and understanding of psychology, touching on how women can empower themselves by developing the skills of courage, bravery, empathy and shame resilience.

Full disclosure: this is episode one. The sound's not studio-polished and the format's still finding its feet - and that's kind of the point. We'd rather show up honest and a bit rough round the edges than wait until it's "perfect" and never start. That's the whole promise of this show, and it only gets better from here.

If one thing in here lands for you, tell us. Subscribe, follow along on YouTube, and come back for episode 2. We're doing this in public, unashamed, one episode at a time.
