  • You Are Perfectly Imperfect.
    2025/02/18

Kintsugi offers a profound philosophy that encourages us to embrace imperfection, cultivate resilience, and find beauty in the brokenness of life.

By applying these principles, we can transform our challenges into opportunities for growth and healing. For we are all perfectly imperfect.

  • How to Listen Better: Understanding with The Trust Coach #15
    2025/01/29

Listening is more than what it implies. When used correctly, it's about engagement, rapport, and showing genuine interest in someone else. The result of good listening is in how you respond.

Listening is understanding. And when we understand, we can respond once again accordingly. We create openness, safety, respect and my favourite word.. trust.

When we trust, we create the conditions for someone else to show up as they are. Which can be a very powerful thing indeed.

  • Get Wise On What's Around You: Place with the Trust Coach #13
    2025/01/24

When was the last time you truly noticed what's around you?

My curiosity is to encourage you to embrace that same awareness because recognizing what you are surrounded by in the present moment can help you understand what you're responding to, and help you think about what you're feeling.

We have the answers we need, and we can find those same elusive feelings in the space we currently occupy and not in the shiny new objects or places we believe will solve our problems.

  • Do Less, Achieve More: Recovery with The Trust Coach #12
    2025/01/22

When was the last time you fully recovered from everything happening around you?

Nobody can function to the best of their abilities by always being switched on, but we are.

The expectation is that we should be able to function optimally, all the time, but we know that is rarely the case.

Recovery is important in maintaining momentum and progress in whatever you are doing.

It is also highly personal and you should always look within to understand what works for you.

What does recovery look like to you?

Whatever you do with your day, you always have the power to question everything. Take some time to remain curious. Assume nothing as always, and remember to trust yourself.

  • Become Your Best: Mastery with The Trust Coach #11
    2025/01/20

Hello and welcome to the Trust Coach podcast with your host Ash Luchmun, bringing you a few minutes of awareness, inspiration and insight to help you trust yourself more and to know yourself a little better.

Today we're talking about getting better with practice, repetition and intention, ideas I am passionate about that have been discussed in previous episodes.

Trusting ourselves in all these areas takes time.

We often make our best effort to trust ourselves to get started, planning what we're going to do, when we're going to do it, as we aim to get better at something.

Then slowly over time we lose that trust, as we end up doing less than we hoped.

We might want to learn something new in its entirety, and find that we've lost trust in the process, and in our own abilities, when we don't see any immediate results.

Achieving competency or a high level of skill in something is our ongoing effort to master something.

We do a lot of this when we're growing up and going through education, as the reward of being educated and building a life is what's promised.

We also might see this play out in other areas of our life, especially in the workplace.

But life is always going to be the longest lesson yet, where our mastery of understanding and adjusting to the world in the eternal classroom around us, is the skill we need to survive.

We need to become our own teacher in order to fulfil the promises we make to ourselves, the promises that really matter.

Remember that anything you choose to master will compound over time, whether that's moving you forwards or keeping you back.

And only you'll know what that means to you.

We should be only comparing ourselves with ourselves against the last version of our efforts in order to take that action, which then drives us with the motivation to succeed. That 1% over time will add up as you take your own effort as encouragement.

Yet, we're rating those efforts against those that have more time in the game, which is the point I raised in an earlier episode about comparison.

Because you can only compare two things that are completely identical.

And if we choose to realise that nothing and no one is... then we're free to carry on knowing our input of 100% is exactly that.

Mastery is a skill that takes time.

It's about listening closer to yourself and getting very clear about what you want.

If you really want to get good at something, then it's only really achievable with consistent, small, sustainable steps.

Everyone will also master whatever they want in different ways and everybody is on their own trajectory and timeline.

So you might as well just focus on your own.

Whatever you choose to do with your day, you always have the power to question everything.

Take some time to remain curious, assume nothing as always and remember to trust yourself.
