  • 3 Lessons From My First 3 Months as a CEO
    2026/08/03

Three months ago, I decided to build a million-dollar company. What I didn't fully understand was that I was also deciding to become a CEO.

In this episode, I'm sharing the three biggest lessons I've learned during my first three months of making that transition (they are not the lessons I expected).

I talk about why I have to stop selling myself and start selling my systems, how becoming a CEO is actually increasing my significance rather than diminishing it, and why the quality of my tools and my competence in using them has become essential to my success.

I also share what my coaching experience is teaching me about meeting clients at their current level of readiness and building a company that can continue serving people without requiring everything to flow through me.

    In this episode:

    • Why what came naturally to me at six figures may not take me to seven
    • The difference between selling your personality and selling your system
    • Why codifying my intellectual property initially felt threatening
    • How I confused being needed with being significant
    • Why sustainable businesses must be built for more than one season of life
    • What happened when I ignored my coach's recommended tool
    • How systems are helping me reclaim time at work and at home

Becoming a CEO has required me to rethink how I sell, how I work, and where my value lives. I'm learning that my significance does not come from being at the center of every task. It comes from creating something powerful enough to exist beyond me.

  • How I'm Healing CPTSD
    2026/07/28

For years, I've shared that I live with both PTSD and CPTSD. But it wasn't until recently that I realized I had been treating them like they were the same thing.

In this episode, I explain how I personally understand the difference between PTSD and complex PTSD, why healing each one has required something completely different from me, and what I've learned about the role of protection and care in recovering from childhood neglect.

I share how seemingly ordinary experiences—from preparing for surgery to parenting my daughter, setting boundaries, changing my diet, and even growing my hair—have revealed developmental gaps I never knew existed.

    In this episode, we discuss:

    • My personal understanding of PTSD vs. CPTSD
    • Why PTSD and CPTSD require different healing approaches
    • How childhood neglect shaped my coping strategies
    • The difference between processing events and changing survival patterns
    • Why protection and care have become the foundation of my healing
    • What motherhood is teaching me about reparenting myself

If you've ever wondered why you understand your trauma intellectually but still find yourself repeating old survival strategies, I hope this conversation helps you feel a little less alone.

    • The surprising reason I paused my million-dollar goal
    • How healing changed the kind of company I want to build
