• Ask Me Anything - 5 Questions VA Ask All The Time
    2026/07/22

Today's episode is a little different because we are doing an AMA, an Ask Me Anything episode.

Over the years, I have had thousands of conversations with virtual assistants. I have answered questions inside communities, during coaching calls, through emails, in workshops, and in conversations with VAs who are just getting started and VAs who have been in business for years.

And there are certain questions that come up again and again.

Questions about getting clients. Questions about pricing. Questions about confidence. Questions about what services to offer and whether they are actually ready to call themselves a virtual assistant.

So today I picked five questions that I hear all the time, and I'm going to answer them the way I would if you asked me during a coaching call.

And as always, I want you to remember that there is no magic formula for building a successful VA business.

There are strategies, systems, and things you can do that will absolutely make the process easier, but the biggest thing that separates VAs who build sustainable businesses from those who stay stuck is usually confidence and consistency.

It is knowing what steps to take, and then actually taking them. That last part is pretty important!

The 5 questions in this episode:

How do I get my first client without any VA experience?
    How much should I charge?
    Do I need a niche?
Why is my marketing not working?
And am I ready to call myself a VA?

We can get you to where you want to go. Quickly, as a matter of fact. All you have to do is be willing to make decisions and take action.

You need a client? We can do that.
You need to set your rates or create packages? We can do that.
You need to get better at time management because you're blowing your budget with your clients all the time so you can work more efficiently and make more money. We can also do that.

Whatever you need, I can help. It's the only reason I'm here at all, guys, is to help you become a ridiculously good virtual assistant.

Check out how we can work together at yourvamentor.com/links and connect with me on social media, please, and tell me where you're stuck. Let's get you moving in the right direction.

That's all I've got for you today. I'm Tracy Daviero, the Confidence Coach for Virtual Assistants, and I want to thank you for listening into this episode. I'll see you next time!

  • The 20 Minute Meeting - Save Time and Stop Working For Free
    2026/07/15

Today I want to share one of my favourite little systems. It's something I teach my coaching clients, and once they start using it, they rarely go back.

I call it the 20-Minute Meeting.

Now before you think I'm suggesting you cut meetings short just for the sake of it, that's not what this is about.

This is about recognizing that a client meeting doesn't end when you click "Leave Meeting."

It ends when everything that came out of that meeting has been documented, assigned, communicated, and organized.

Unfortunately, many VAs don't account for that part.

    Here's what typically happens.

You schedule a 30-minute meeting with your client.
The meeting runs right until the 30-minute mark.
You say goodbye, jump straight into your next task, or maybe your next client call.

Your notes stay scribbled on a notepad.
The project management system doesn't get updated until later.
The follow-up email sits in your inbox waiting to be written.
Action items don't get assigned until the next day. Sometimes they don't get assigned at all.

And if you're honest, how often do you end up doing all of that admin work later in the day without charging for it?
You're still working because of that meeting, but the client's timer has stopped. You are working for free.

That's where the 20-Minute Meeting comes in.

Most client meetings don't need the full 30 minutes of discussion. All they need is direction.

Sometimes it's the smallest systems that make the biggest difference in your business. The 20 Minute Meeting is a sample of one of those systems.

When you focus on doing the right things in the right way, you get both. And you stop losing money by working for free.

If you want help mapping out a great agenda that will help you work more efficiently, host shorter meetings, and deliver a polished summary and action steps to your client shortly after your meeting ends (without using AI), get in touch with me and we can book in one of my Quick Win private coaching calls.

All you need is the framework and you can create the right agenda for each of your clients - I used to have a different agenda for every client, because they all had different things to focus on for their business.

And we did the production meetings in 20 minutes! Even for my 6 and 7 figure business coaches.

You can do it. It works. I hope you try!

  • The Conversations That Actually Lead to Clients
    2026/06/22

Today we are talking about something really important when it comes to getting clients... Conversations.

A lot of VAs I talk to think getting clients is about posting endlessly on social media, or obsessing over your website, or redesigning your Canva graphics for the fifteenth time.

But it's the conversations you are having - or probably avoiding - that are often the biggest factor in whether clients are coming into your business.

Clients rarely appear out of nowhere. Most of the time they come from some kind of connection.

They come from conversations that build trust, create visibility, and help people understand what you actually do.

VAs assume that getting clients means they have to become a salesperson. That's one big reason that they shy away from actually talking to people. But the best client conversations usually feel very natural. They don't feel pushy or awkward or like a pitch. They just sound confident.

When you are confident that you can help someone, the words flow easily. It's an actual conversation. In this episode, we will talk about the kinds of conversations that actually lead to clients, why most VAs are having the wrong conversations, and how to start showing up in a way that creates opportunities without feeling fake or uncomfortable.

If you are ready to get some help to start having real conversations with real clients, get in touch with me at https://yourvamentor.com/links

Confidence is not built by waiting for people to come to you. It's built by starting to show up where they are - and help them.

Stop avoiding the conversations - that's the message for today.

  • The Simple Weekly CEO Routine Every VA Needs
    2026/06/18

Today we're talking about something that might sound a little fancy, maybe a little corporate … but honestly it's one of the simplest things you can do to feel more organized, more confident, and more in control in your VA business.

I'm talking about creating a simple weekly CEO routine.

Now before you tune out because you think this means color-coded spreadsheets, complicated planning systems, or waking up at 5am to journal and meditate for two hours… that is not what we're doing here.

This episode is about creating a realistic weekly rhythm for your business so you stop feeling like you're constantly behind, constantly reacting, and constantly wondering what you should be focusing on next.

Because a lot of VAs are technically business owners… but they're operating like overwhelmed employees inside their own business.

The shift into what we call CEO thinking usually isn't about doing more. It's often about doing less. It's about creating simple habits that help you lead your business instead of chasing it around all week.

So today I want to walk you through a very simple weekly CEO routine that almost any VA can start using immediately, even if you only have a few hours a week to work on your business.

Your business will grow when you lead it consistently.

If you need help, you know where to find me: https://yourvamentor.com/links

I'm here to help - it's the only reason I'm here at all - to help you become a ridiculously good virtual assistant.

I'd love to help you get a good routine in place that works - and we can do that with a quick win private coaching call.

This is fundamental stuff. It's super simple. You can do it. And if you do it, I promise you. you will see the results very quickly.

You'll see what is working well, what you need to fix, and you will be on the way to that success you dream of with every step.

  • Why Some VAs Stay Stuck At Low Rates For Years
    2026/05/13

Today we are talking about something that I het a lot of VAs don't even think is a problem.

That is, staying stuck at low rates.

I'm not talking about VAs who are getting started. A lot of us started with rates lower than we should have. (If this is you, sign up for my $97 Getting Started as a VA self study program to get the right foundations under your business right now!)

When you are in that awkward getting-started phase where you are figuring things out, it can be easy to set rates that are too low.

So I'm talking about VAs who are years into business and still charging beginner rates, still feeling nervous about increasing their prices, still attracting clients who question every invoice, and still wondering why things feel so hard.

If that sounds like you then take a deep breath. This is fixable!

I just this is a really important conversation because I think a lot of VAs assume low rates are just a pricing problem.

Like their rates are set and they can't do anything about it. Wrong.

Like there aren't clients out there who will mean more. Wrong.

Like they have to change what they offer to charge higher rates and get new clients. Wrong again!

Low rates are usually connected to confidence, positioning, habits, boundaries, fear, and the way you see yourself as a business owner.

And if you do not deal with those things, you can stay stuck for a very long time.

I have seen incredibly talented VAs charging far less than they should while newer VAs with less experience are charging significantly more. That tells you right there that this is not just about skill level.

So today I want to talk about why some VAs stay stuck at low rates for years, what is actually happening underneath the surface, and what you need to shift if you want to finally move forward.

You do not have to change everything overnight.

But you do have to start making intentional decisions instead of operating on autopilot.

Because the VAs who grow are usually not the ones with perfect confidence, they are just the ones willing to make a decision, to take action, even if they don't feel fully ready.

You need to work in your brilliance. Do what you are great at.

I've told you before 'What comes easiest to you is what you should be charging the most for,' and I mean it every time.

You will SHINE when you help your client with your own expertise.

If you want help polishing that up, join me for the Booked and Busy Bootcamp. It's a 3 month group coaching program where we will figure out what you do best, and price it appropriately, and find the people who need your help. It's as simple as that.

Thank you so much for tuning in to this episode of The Ridiculously Good VA Show.

If you are ready to stop playing small in your business, start charging more confidently, attract better clients, and build a VA business that actually feels sustainable and profitable, get in touch with me to talk about how I can help you do just that.

I'm here to help you become a ridiculously good virtual assistant.

  • How to Talk About Your Services So People Actually Inquire
    2026/05/07

If you are not getting inquiries about your VA services, it's usually not because you're not good at what you do. I mean, for sure that's not the reason.

It's because of how you're talking about what you do.

And I want to be really clear here.

This is not about becoming a better salesperson in a pushy, uncomfortable way. This is about clarity. This is about confidence. And this is about making it easy for the right people to see themselves in what you offer.

So if you've ever felt like you're posting consistently, you're showing up, you're talking about your services, but nothing is really happening, this episode is going to help you shift that.

So if you've been feeling frustrated because things aren't clicking yet, I want you to take a look at your messaging first, because that's usually where the gap is. Once you start closing that gap, everything else gets easier.

    More conversations.
    More inquiries.
More opportunities to turn those into clients.

And if you want help with this, if you want to actually sit down and refine how you're talking about your services so that it connects and converts, that's exactly what we do inside my programs.

We don't just talk about what services to offer.
We talk about how to position them, how to communicate them, and how to build a business around them that feels clear and sustainable.

So if that's something you're ready for, I'd love to support you.

You can jump into the Booked and Busy Bootcamp and get this done right now. Or you can message me and we can talk about other ways I can help you uplevel what you are doing - the clarity with your messaging - talking about the right stuff, more often.

For now, take a look at how you're currently describing your services and ask yourself one simple question: Would a potential client read this and immediately understand how it helps them?
If the answer is no, that's your starting point.

Sometimes you need someone else to read it for you, but either way get that done. Because that's where the real progress begins.

Let's circle back to today's quote: The aim of marketing is to know and understand the customer so well the product or service fits them and sells itself.

That's literally all you have to do.

I want to tell you one thing - when you start doing this, because you understand it - you will find it so much easier to not just do your marketing and social media, but you will also feel more relaxed in conversations.

And all of that leads to the inquiries that you want.

That's all I've got for you today. Thanks so much for tuning in.

I'm Tracey D'Aviero, The Confidence Coach for VAs - and I'm here to help you become a ridiculously good VA.

it's the only reason I'm here at all. So reach out, connect with me. If I can help you right now, I'd love to talk about it.

    I'll see you next time!

  • The Real Reason Your VA Business Feels Scattered
    2026/04/29

Today we're talking about something that I see all the time with virtual assistants, especially once you're past that very beginning stage.

You're working. You're showing up. You've maybe had some clients, or you even have clients right now. But your business feels scattered. A little all over the place. A little unclear. Like you're doing a lot, but not really building anything solid.

You're feeling constantly busy, but at the end of the week, you're not totally sure what you actually moved forward. You might even look back and think, hmm what moved forward this week?

And if that's you, I want you to understand something. It's not because you're doing something wrong. Well, not entirely. You are missing something very important though. And once you figure out what that thing is, everything starts to feel a lot simpler.

If you listen to this episode and thinking, "Yes, this is exactly how my business feels right now," then this is exactly what we focus on inside Booked & Busy Bootcamp.

This is not about adding more to your plate. It's about simplifying what's already there.

We take all of those moving pieces and bring them together into something that actually makes sense for you.

We help you get clear on your services, create a plan for getting clients, and actually start building momentum in your business marketing. So you're not just busy… you're growing. And you're doing it in a way that feels manageable and doable, not overwhelming.

Booked and Busy Bootcamp is a 12 week program, so yes we are going to work together for a while. We don't overwhelm you with 10 things to do at once and then expect you to walk away and get it done. We will ramp up to make sure you are ready and get your moving.

You'll have to make decisions. You'll have to move out of your comfort zone. You'll have to TALK to people (ahh!)

Send me a DM if you are wondering if this program is right for you. It's coming up in a few weeks, and it's reasonably priced.

It's a no brainer, guys. If you need clients, let me help you get on the path to get them.

Let's start using your time smarter, and actually getting you what you want from your VA business.
