"Relax into the day" is where The Remembering Place all started.
It's the name of the relaxation session I give to guests at my local Spa, the gorgeous Scented Garden in Orston, Nottinghamshire. I ease them into their day with carefully guided words, taking them into a dreamy inner space. They re-emerge , eyes sparkling and surprised by how quickly they let go and "float". They look different at the end, glowy & ethereal, maybe a bit bewildered. I know it's because they've touched the edges of remembering who they are, feeling their essence; soft, unlimited, eternal. And so, to help them continue this inner journey, and extend it out to anyone else who wants to go there, I created The Remembering Place.
Relax into the Day, Episode 1, is a simple guided relaxation, an essential for health, teaching the parasympathetic nervous system to be activated, allowing the body & mind to stop - just 11 minutes a day! But perhaps more importantly, it begins the journey towards remembering who you are. The breath slows, the mind calms and the body lets go, leaving you floating in a space of nothingness. Here you touch the unknown. When the known and unknown enter into your consciousness you feel whole again, and life on this Earth suddenly feels so much lighter.
Choose a comfortable space to lay down, wrap up with a favourite blanket, be warm and cosy, light a scented candle and hand over your concerns and worries as you listen to Relax into the Day. And then do it tomorrow and the next day, for 40 days....and notice what happens. 40 days is the amount of time it takes to develop a new habit and really internalise the effects of the relaxation.
Surrender softly. Remember deeply.
