Most people only see the glowing waves and endless reefs beneath the twin suns and three eternal moons. They never see what waits beneath the surface.

Today’s episode takes us to one of the most dangerous places I’ve ever visited… Velmora Reef Island.

An abandoned research island surrounded by jagged cliffs, violent tides, and whispers of creatures lurking beneath the waves.

What started as a simple ocean expedition quickly became one of the most emotional Glyph encounters our team has ever experienced.

Deep within the hidden Cave of Velthor, we discovered a mysterious aquatic mammal Glyph known as the Sharlamur — a powerful shark lemur hybrid capable of creating tidal waves strong enough to destroy entire ships.

At first, the Sharlamur attacked us without hesitation, sinking our raft and nearly trapping us inside the flooded cave forever. But the truth behind its aggression was something none of us expected.

    It wasn’t protecting territory.

    It was protecting its eggs.

As we learned more about the creature, we discovered the Sharlamur is actually highly intelligent and deeply emotional, only becoming violent when its children are threatened. Using moves like Shark Attack, Tail Spin, Fin Win, and Sharp Eye, this ocean guardian proved why it is feared throughout the Moonwake Ocean.

    But surprisingly…

The one person it connected with most wasn’t me.

    It was Astra.

For the first time since joining our team, Astra finally found a companion who understood her loneliness. After gaining the Sharlamur’s trust using red kelp and patience instead of force, she successfully bonded with the aquatic Glyph and became its official caretaker.

But our adventure didn’t end there.

After our boat was destroyed, we were forced to explore the abandoned Velmora research facility in search of a way home — only to awaken a horrifying swarm of ancient cave Glyphs hidden beneath the island.

And at the center of it all…

    The monstrous Abyssarach.

If not for the Sharlamur, I honestly don’t think we would’ve survived.

This episode explores trust, fear, motherhood, and the bonds that form between Glyphs and Catchers when compassion is stronger than fear.

    And honestly?

I don’t think Astra was alone anymore after that day.

If somebody had told me a giant spider kangaroo would eventually become one of the most trusted Glyphs in our sanctuary…

I would’ve laughed directly in their face.

    Then probably backed away slowly.

Because Arachnaroos are TERRIFYING the first time you see one.

Imagine you’re walking through the Inado Desert beneath the endless glow of Nibiru’s twin suns and three moons. The sandstorm around you is so loud you can barely hear your own thoughts, your rover is overheating, Aura Beak is screaming at literally nothing, and suddenly—

    The ground explodes.

That was my introduction to Arachnaroo.

    And honestly?

I almost became part of the desert that day.

The mission started because Professor Orion picked up strange movement readings deep beneath the dunes of Inado. The signals were unlike anything we’d seen before. Too fast for normal Glyph tunneling patterns.

Naturally I wanted to investigate immediately.

    Zena called me irresponsible.

    Luna called me insane.

Aura Beak tried eating the scanner.

    Completely normal expedition.

The deeper we traveled into the desert, the stranger things became. The dunes looked wrong somehow. Smooth patterns covered the sand like something massive had been dragging itself beneath the surface.

    Then we found the webs.

Silver strands stretched between giant crystal rocks, glowing softly beneath the eternal sky. They looked beautiful from a distance.

    Up close?

They were strong enough to crack stone.

    “That’s concerning,” Zena said quietly.

    Then the web moved.

    Not because of the wind.

    Something had touched it.

    The clicking sound came next.

    Soft.

    Fast.

    Every direction at once.

    My stomach dropped immediately.

“Guys…” Luna whispered. “Something’s watching us.”

The sand behind the rover exploded before I could even turn around.

A massive shape burst upward in a storm of glowing sand and webbing.

    Aura Beak screamed.

    I screamed.

    Honestly everybody screamed.

The creature landed in front of us with enough force to shake the entire dune.

    And there she was.

    Arachnaroo.

She had the powerful muscular legs of a kangaroo, but her upper body moved with terrifying spider-like precision. Eight glowing cosmic eyes reflected the suns overhead while silver silk dripped from her claws.

    And her fur…

I still don’t think words fully describe it.

It looked like the galaxy itself lived beneath her skin.

Tiny stars drifted beneath glowing pink-purple fur while constellations shimmered every time she moved.

    Beautiful.

    Horrifying.

    Mostly horrifying at the time.

    She crouched low.

    Then disappeared.

    Not invisible.

    FAST.

I turned around just in time to see her hanging upside down above the rover.

I nearly ascended spiritually right there.

    Then she hissed.

And suddenly hundreds of tiny glowing eyes opened beneath the sand around us.

    Baby Arachnaroos.

    Dozens of them.

Tiny fluffy spider kangaroos crawled from beneath the dunes chirping nervously while surrounding the massive adult.

    That changed everything instantly.

    Because now I understood.

We weren’t dealing with a predator hunting us.

We had stumbled into a nest.

Arachnaroo wasn’t trying to kill us.

    She thought WE were dangerous.

    Honestly? fair

In this episode of The Monster Catchers Journal, I travel deep into the glowing tulip fields of the Bloomhollow Plains after my Glyph detector picks up a completely unknown life signature beneath the soil of Nibiru. What starts as a normal expedition quickly turns terrifying when Luna, Zena, astra, Aura Beak, and I discover an underground colony of gigantic insect-like mammal Glyphs known as Mootites.

These strange creatures are part termite and part mammal, with glowing red eyes, massive digging claws, cow-like markings, and strange nutrient-producing bodies that allow them to feed entire colonies beneath the surface. But things spiral out of control when we accidentally disturb the nest and awaken the colossal Queen of the colony, Empress Mooterra.

Forced to flee through collapsing tunnels and swarms of baby Mootites, we soon discover the colony isn’t attacking out of hatred it’s protecting its infected young from a deadly fungal parasite spreading underground. After helping cure one of the sick babies, the Queen offers me an ancient Glyphid and entrusts me with one of her children.

    That baby becomes Moolite.

Back at our hidden underground sanctuary, however, things become much less dramatic and much more chaotic. Moolite immediately begins fighting with Aura Beak over beds, muffins, snack crumbs, and basically everything else inside the sanctuary tunnels. Between screeching matches, stolen pastries, and Astra getting flattened by hungry Glyphs, the sanctuary quickly descends into complete madness.

    This episode features:

    • The first appearance of Mootite and Empress Mooterra
    • The underground tulip colony of Bloomhollow Plains
    • A dangerous fungal infection threatening the nest
    • The bonding and capture of Moolite
    • Aura Beak and Moolite’s first rivalry
    • Sanctuary chaos involving muffins, beds, and screaming Glyphs
    • Astra getting tackled by a snack stampede

Sometimes being a Glyph Catcher means surviving dangerous monsters beneath the planet’s surface.

And sometimes it means stopping your children from fighting over baked goods.
