このコンテンツについて

The Mindful Mic is a podcast from the Children's Home that explores the many factors that shape our mental health and connects listeners to the community resources working to make a difference.

Each month, we release two episodes. One episode takes a closer look at a broader issue that affects mental health like housing instability, food insecurity, or access to healthcare. We talk about how that issue impacts individuals and families and then sit down with a local organization that is actively working to address it. These conversations spotlight who they are, the services they offer, and how community members can get connected.

The second episode brings in one of our very own clinicians to talk about topics related to mental health and the counseling process. Whether it's an in-depth chat about play therapy or answers to common questions about starting therapy, these episodes aim to reduce stigma, offer insight, and make mental health support feel a little more accessible.

Together, these conversations offer a big-picture look at mental health, while also keeping it close to home.

Hosted by Children's Home, Grace Shimatsu (Fundraising & Development Manager) and Colbi Twiss (Marketing & Communications Director)
