You remember it.

You're absolutely certain you remember it.

This phenomenon has become known as The Mandela Effect—instances in which large groups of people share the same memory of something that seemingly never existed.

The conventional explanation is fairly straightforward: human memory isn't nearly as reliable as we'd like to believe. We misremember things. Our brains fill in missing information. And once enough people reinforce the same incorrect memory, it can begin to feel unquestionably real.

But there's another explanation.

What if we're not remembering it wrong?

What if something changed?

Following our investigation into CERN and the conspiracy theories surrounding the Large Hadron Collider, Adie takes Carpe Noctem even further down the rabbit hole.
