  • (3) Are Carbs BAD for Masters Athletes in Perimenopause?!

    Influencers are now going on about how carbs are dangerous for women in perimenopause & menopause because we “process carbs differently”.While YES, of course, there are healthier choices for carbs at ANY age you are not broken. If your diet is primarily whole foods and for breakfast a couple times a week you want a pop tart with your protein? Go for it. Just don’t complain when you are hungry a couple hours later.The best “diet”? One you can sustain. Cutting out EVERYTHING but leafy greens, lentils, quinoa, protein, and nuts/ seeds may work for some people but sure as shit doesn’t work for me.LIFT HEAVY. There is no such thing as toning.
