  • Manhunt for Travis Decker Continues: Will The Bloody Handprints Be His Downfall?
    2025/06/05

    Send us a text

A multi-agency manhunt is underway in central Washington for a 32-year-old man accused of killing his three young daughters and fleeing into the wilderness near Leavenworth.

Authorities from the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO), FBI, and U.S. Marshals are working in coordination to locate Travis Decker, a military-trained fugitive whose background and survival skills are complicating the search.

The bodies of Decker’s daughters were discovered Monday night at a remote campground, near where crews also found his abandoned truck. Aerial and ground search operations have since intensified in the rugged terrain.

At a Wednesday afternoon press conference, CCSO officials said Decker remains at large and is believed to be armed and dangerous. Prosecutors have charged him with three counts of first-degree murder and three counts of first-degree kidnapping.

Decker, who joined the U.S. Army in 2012 and served in Afghanistan in 2014, is currently a reservist with the Washington Army National Guard. He holds the rank of sergeant with the 81st Brigade, Unit 1-161, which is based in Wenatchee and Yakima. However, a National Guard spokesperson confirmed that separation proceedings had been initiated for disciplinary reasons but had not yet been finalized.

Law enforcement sources told KOMO News that Decker is homeless and has been struggling with post-traumatic stress disorder. In previous divorce filings, his ex-wife cited his mental health struggles and a diagnosis of borderline personality disorder. She also noted that he was supposed to undergo anger management treatment.

Investigators say Decker’s extensive military training includes wilderness survival, which raises concerns he could potentially evade capture for an extended period in the forested terrain. The area is now being scoured with help from off-road vehicle volunteers and backcountry experts.

Authorities have released Ring doorbell footage showing Decker in the days leading up to the alleged murders. A $20,000 reward is being offered for information leading to his arrest.

Tips continue to come in, and officials are urging anyone with relevant information to contact law enforcement immediately.

  • Four Decades Later: Who Killed Melissa Ann Moore? OSBI Knows; Tulsa PD Remains Silent
    2025/05/27

    Send us a text

On the night of March 25, 1984, 22-year-old Melissa Ann Moore was last seen leaving the Chi Omega sorority house on the University of Tulsa campus. She told friends she was heading home to her nearby apartment. She never arrived.

By the next day, Moore was officially reported missing. Her car was found later that afternoon on East Easton Street, miles from where she had last been seen. A witness reported seeing a man park the vehicle around 4:30 p.m., sit inside for a few minutes, then lock the doors and walk away. That man has never been identified. Composite sketches based on witness accounts—both from 1984 and age-progressed renderings—have been circulated for years, but no leads have materialized.

The case took a tragic turn on April 17, 1984. Moore’s body was discovered in Pryor Creek, Mayes County, by bridge inspectors. She was found naked from the waist down, and authorities determined she had drowned. Evidence suggested she had been sexually assaulted. Witnesses reported seeing a man in an El Camino parked on the bridge above the creek around the time of her death. That individual, too, was never located.

For decades, the investigation remained stalled. In June 1984, serial killer Gary Alan Walker—later executed for murdering six people during a brutal crime spree—was briefly considered a suspect in Moore’s case. He was ultimately cleared of any involvement.

Then, in 2010, a former agent with the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) came forward with stunning claims. According to the agent, DNA evidence from the scene had been matched to a known suspect who drove a vehicle similar to the one spotted near the site where Moore’s body was recovered. The agent, part of the OSBI cold case unit, offered to expedite testing through the department, but said the lead investigator declined the assistance and later filed a complaint with the agent’s supervisor. That agent publicly claimed in a later interview that authorities have long known the identity of Moore’s killer—but no arrest has ever been made.

In 2011, a Tulsa Police Department detective reexamined the case, submitting additional evidence for forensic testing. Despite renewed efforts, no suspects have been charged.

Melissa Moore’s parents passed away in 2005 and 2006 without seeing justice for their daughter. Today, her brother remains the sole surviving family member still seeking answers in a case that continues to haunt the Tulsa community.

Anyone with information related to the murder of Melissa Ann Moore is urged to contact the Tulsa Police Department at 918-596-9222.

  • Influencer Valeria Marquez Gunned Down On Live Feed; Was An Accomplice On Camera?
    2025/05/19

    Send us a text

MEXICO CITY — A 23-year-old social media influencer was shot and killed while livestreaming on TikTok at a beauty salon in the central Mexican state of Jalisco, authorities confirmed Wednesday, marking another grim instance of public violence in a country gripped by cartel-related unrest.

Valeria Márquez, a beauty and lifestyle influencer, was broadcasting live from a salon in Zapopan, on the outskirts of Guadalajara, when she was fatally shot. Authorities say she appeared to be speaking off-camera to a delivery person on Tuesday when she was struck in the chest and head. She died at the scene.

The killing has sent shockwaves through Mexico, where violent clashes between rival drug cartels continue to destabilize many regions. Zapopan is known to be within the sphere of influence of the powerful Jalisco New Generation Cartel.

State prosecutors are investigating the incident as a possible femicide, a gender-based crime in which women are targeted for their sex—an issue that remains pervasive in Mexico and much of Latin America.

Just hours after Márquez’s killing, a second high-profile murder occurred nearby: Luis Armando Córdova Díaz, a former congressman affiliated with the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI), was shot dead in a local café.

Authorities have not confirmed any connection between the two killings.

Márquez’s death has sparked an outpouring of grief online. Her social media pages have been inundated with tributes and expressions of shock from fans and fellow influencers.

    The investigation remains ongoing.

  • Obsession, Murder and a Social Media Framing Gone Wrong
    2025/05/08

    Send us a text

An innocent man spent nearly 10 days in jail after being framed for murder in an elaborate scheme involving fake social media accounts and staged video messages, Indiana authorities said.

Jefferson County officials said police found 35-year-old Wilma Gayle Robertson stabbed to death in her Hanover home on April 15. That same day, 33-year-old Shawn Bailey of Louisville was arrested after “confessing” via messages and a video appearing to show Robertson’s body—sent from accounts prosecutors now say were fake.

Investigators later cleared Bailey using DNA evidence and identified the actual suspect as 34-year-old Nigel Thomas of Oxford, Ohio, also known as “Nati Bang.” Authorities say Thomas created the fake accounts to frame Bailey and was arrested Friday. Charges against Bailey were dropped, and he was released.

Thomas is currently in custody in Ohio awaiting extradition. No motive or details on his relationship to Robertson have been released.

Robertson, a mother of two and certified nursing assistant, was remembered for her uplifting social media presence.

  • National MMIP Awareness Day Shines Light on the Unsolved Death of Shirley Phyllis Ahhaitty Gokey
    2025/05/06

    Send us a text

Today marks National Missing and Murdered Indigenous Peoples (MMIP) Awareness Day, a national day of recognition honoring the lives lost and the families affected by the ongoing MMIP crisis. Communities across the United States are holding marches, vigils, and public forums to raise awareness, demand accountability, and create healing spaces for those impacted.

The day was first observed in 2017 following a U.S. Senate resolution led by Montana’s congressional delegation. May 5 was chosen in honor of Hanna Harris, a 21-year-old Northern Cheyenne woman who went missing in 2013. Since then, the day has served as a call to action to address systemic issues surrounding the disproportionately high rates of violence against Indigenous women and girls.

Among the many lives remembered today is that of Shirley Phyllis Ahhaitty Gokey, a member of the Kiowa Tribe, whose 1978 death in Oklahoma remains unresolved.

Gokey, then 43, was last seen on May 20, 1978, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, where she had traveled in search of her husband. A week later, on May 27, her body was discovered in a wooded area northeast of Shawnee, near Moccasin Trail Road and approximately 3.5 miles east of State Highway 18. Two young boys found her nude body around midday, but police did not arrive on the scene until 5 p.m.

Authorities initially believed Gokey had suffered gunshot wounds, but later ruled those marks to be the result of decomposition. While her death was officially attributed to natural causes, her family has long disputed that conclusion, suspecting foul play. Tests suggested she likely died between May 21 and May 22. Investigators were unable to determine whether she had been sexually assaulted.

Gokey had recently been released from jail in Chandler, Oklahoma, and had returned to her home in Lawton before heading to Shawnee. Witnesses reported that she was last seen leaving a bar with a man who later admitted to being with her that night. He was questioned but released. According to those familiar with him, the man had a history of violent behavior, particularly when intoxicated.

Born on September 5, 1934, in Lawton to Walter Ahhaitty and Irene Yellowfish, Shirley Gokey was a graduate of Lawton High School. She married Leon Elmer Gokey in 1960 and was the mother of eight children. Her family continues to seek answers and justice nearly five decades later.

Anyone with information regarding Shirley Phyllis Gokey’s death is urged to contact the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation at 1-800-522-8017. Tips can remain anonymous.

  • "Toledo Jane Doe" Identified Nearly 40 Years Later; Major Questions Remain
    2025/04/08

    Send us a text

Authorities in Ohio have identified the remains of "Toledo Jane Doe," a woman whose body was discovered burned behind an auto repair shop in 1987. The Toledo Police Department confirmed on Tuesday that the remains belong to Tammy Lowe, an 18-year-old from Michigan, who was found dead on June 16, 1987.

Nearly 38 years ago, a driver traveling on Interstate 75 noticed flames from the highway and pulled over to investigate. Upon entering an alley behind a closed auto shop, the driver discovered a human body burning. Investigators later revealed that the victim had a blue plastic bag over her head.

The coroner's report indicated that Lowe had received minimal dental care, citing significant decay in her teeth. Over the years, authorities linked the case to missing persons reports, including those from the Cleveland area, and entered her DNA into CODIS, a national criminal database. However, no matches were found.

A forensic artist with Michigan State Police even created a clay reconstruction of her face to generate new leads, but the case went cold. As DNA technology advanced, a breakthrough came through Investigative Genetic Genealogy, which can match DNA samples to distant relatives using publicly available ancestry databases.

In October 2024, The Porchlight Project, a non-profit dedicated to funding Ohio cold case investigations, stepped in to support Toledo Police by financing further genetic genealogy DNA testing through Othram, a Texas-based forensic genetic genealogy company. Othram's analysis eventually pointed to a potential relative in Michigan. A final DNA test confirmed that the remains belonged to Tammy Lowe.

Despite the identification, the circumstances surrounding Lowe’s death remain unclear. The coroner determined she had likely died a day or two before her body was discovered.

In June 1987, the body of the young woman was found wrapped in a pink cloth behind an auto repair shop near Collingwood Boulevard and Interstate 75 in Toledo. She was dressed in Jordache jeans, with pink-painted toenails and five piercings in each ear. At the time of her death, she was estimated to be between 16 and 20 years old, standing 5'4" to 5'7" tall and weighing about 110 pounds. It appeared that her body had been set on fire to destroy evidence.

For years, the woman remained unidentified, and her case was entered into the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs) as UP4778. A forensic sketch was released in hopes of generating leads, but she became known as Toledo Jane Doe. It wasn’t until 2024 that advances in genetic testing and the support of The Porchlight Project led to the identification of Tammy Lowe, whose death is still under investigation.

  • SEC University Rocked by Athlete's Death; Still No Answers For The Family
    2025/03/26

    Send us a text

Authorities are investigating two violent incidents that took place near Campus Corner, one of which resulted in the death of a University of Oklahoma (OU) rugby player.

Joe Pal, 23, a member of the OU rugby team, sustained fatal injuries following what is believed to have been a fight. Police discovered Pal in a parking lot in the 300 block of E. Boyd, a short distance from Campus Corner, around 4 a.m. on March 2. He was quickly transported to a local hospital, where he remained in critical condition for nearly a week. According to a GoFundMe campaign launched to assist with medical costs, Pal suffered severe brain trauma and underwent emergency surgery shortly after being admitted.

The GoFundMe page shared a message of support for Pal’s family, noting his resilience both on and off the field: "Joe is one of the toughest and most dedicated guys we know. As he fights through this challenging time, we want to rally around him and his family, ensuring they have the support they need for medical expenses, rehabilitation, and anything else that may come their way.”

On March 7, however, it was announced that Pal’s condition had worsened. The OU Rugby team confirmed in a Facebook post that Pal would be removed from life support and that his organs would be donated, as per his wishes. "We know Joe was loved by so many people, and we want to give everyone a chance to say goodbye," the post stated. "We are planning to donate his organs and tissues as Joe would’ve wanted to make as much of an impact on as many people as he could."

Norman Police are continuing to investigate the events that led up to the fight and Pal’s injuries. Police spokesperson Sarah Schettler stated that all individuals believed to be involved have been identified and are cooperating with the investigation, though no arrests have been made.

In addition to his rugby career, Pal was also a member of the National Guard. A post on his Instagram highlighted his recent achievement: "After 28 weeks I’m finally a Combat Medic!"

Meanwhile, Norman Police are also investigating another violent incident at Campus Corner. On February 15, police responded to a report of a serious injury at Norman Regional Hospital. A victim, whose identity remains unknown, was in critical condition after an altercation with a bouncer at a bar on the 500 block of University Avenue. The victim suffered a significant head injury during the fight and was transported to the hospital.

Officers interviewed witnesses at the scene and later located the bouncer, who is cooperating with the investigation. As of now, no arrests have been made in connection to this incident either.

Both cases remain under investigation, but police have noted that there is no video footage available from the scenes, as there are no public cameras in the areas where the incidents occurred. "There is no known video of either incident," Schettler said. "We are continuing to gather information and follow up on leads."
