Fort Worth police are seeking the public’s help in solving the shooting death of a 21-year-old man who was shot in his car on Thursday night.

At approximately 8:50 p.m. on March 27, officers responded to a shooting call in the 6000 block of Portico Drive, where they found Maddox Moses Garza, a Fort Worth resident, suffering from a gunshot wound to his torso inside his vehicle. Garza was rushed to a local hospital but was later pronounced dead in the emergency room.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed Garza’s death as a homicide, and the Fort Worth Police Department’s homicide unit is investigating the circumstances and motive behind the shooting. No arrests have been made, and authorities are asking anyone with information to come forward.

Police encourage those with tips to contact Detective Jerry Cedillo at 817-392-4337 or via email at jerry.cedillo@fortworthtexas.gov. Anonymous tips can also be submitted through Crime Stoppers at 817-469-TIPS (8477).
