Spoiler alert: this week we’re analyzing the Twilight Zone episode “Twenty Two.” Liz Powell finds herself trapped in a recurring nightmare, one that always ends the same way: the morgue. Making matters even worse, waiting for her at the end of her nightmare is a startling woman who always tells her, “room for one more, honey.” Is there more to this nightmare than meets the eye? Perhaps. However, neither Liz’ agent nor her doctor seem prepared to believe that fantasy is somehow crossing over in reality. But, all of that changes when Liz is at the airport and something truly unbelievable, and tragic, occurs. In this KOI episode, we’re going to see if there is a tale of triumph here mixed in with the horror; we’ll attempt to figure out what is going on with the doctor in this episode; and I’ll reveal my moment of awe, a look at the fantastic–and sometimes not so fantastic–world of dreams. This week, we're analyzing the Twilight Zone episode "The Invaders," starring Agnes Moorehead. A simple woman trying to make some dinner is suddenly visited by creatures from another planet. Who are these invaders? What do they want? Our leading lady doesn't know. But, she does know that they need to leave her home. And what ensues is a primal war: hunter vs hunted, prey vs predator. Only one side can win. Who will come out victorious? Well, you'll have to watch the episode first and then come back here for the analysis.
