Journaling isn’t going anywhere. Neither is the faith, the thought work, the emotions, the practical tools or the conversations we’ve had here for the last 99 episodes.

But the vision has gotten bigger.

Because I want to talk about what it looks like to become a woman who leads herself well—her thoughts, her emotions, her decisions, her relationships, her work and the life God has given her to steward.

A woman who knows who she is. Who takes the next faithful step. Who steadies the room instead of being swept up by it. Who is intentionally building a life and legacy.

That’s the Matriarch Mindset.

We're not waiting for clarity.

We're waiting for courage.

And courage often looks like making a decision before you feel ready.

That's what the matriarch does.

She doesn't wait until all fear is gone.

She doesn't wait until every variable is known.

She doesn't wait until she has guarantees.

She gathers wisdom.

She seeks counsel.

She prays.

She reflects.

And then she decides.

Because she understands that her life is too precious to spend it endlessly circling.

The matriarch would rather make a decision and learn than stay stuck and wonder.

She would rather move and adjust than remain frozen.

She would rather trust God on the path than sit safely at the trailhead.

And that's my invitation to you today.

Stop asking yourself what would make you feel certain.

Start asking yourself:

What is the next faithful step?

And then take it.

Not emotionally perfect.

And that's very different.

The matriarch is not the woman who feels less. She is the woman who has learned how to feel.

Who is the Matriarch?

The matriarch is not the woman who controls the room.

She is the woman who takes responsibility for the influence she carries in the room.

She is not necessarily the oldest woman.

She is not necessarily married.

She is not necessarily a mother.

The matriarch is a woman who understands that her life has ripple effects, and she intentionally uses her influence to cultivate wisdom, connection, growth, faith, and legacy in the people and places she touches.

As you begin this series, spend some time reflecting on what the word matriarch means to you.
