My name is Jeremy Norsworthy. This is the story of how my life ended, and how it began again.
In the summer of 2021 (I get it wrong in this episode), I was playing music, living the life, and ignoring the warning signs. It took the terrified look in the eyes of my son's mother to make me realize something was seriously wrong. What followed was a complete collapse: hallucinations, detox, a paracentesis to drain fluid from my body, and waking up in the ICU to find my friends and family gathered to say their last goodbyes.
This is the raw, unscripted, and honest account of my journey through end-stage liver disease and cirrhosis. It's the story of learning to walk again, to write my own name, and the moment I walked out of that hospital, knowing that no part of my life required alcohol anymore—because my son needed his dad.
This is the origin story of "I'm Out Here." It's the "why" behind the entire mission.
