  • Holiday Season Real Estate Focus: Intentional Conversations
    2025/12/20

Feeling pulled in every direction during the holidays? This Coach’s Corner episode will help you stay connected, intentional, and in momentum without burning out or sacrificing what matters most.

This podcast is for the real estate agents building their dream life and business on their terms, especially if you’re working another job, raising a family, or carrying multiple responsibilities at once.

In this episode of the Double Duty Agent Podcast, Carla reframes the holiday season as a relationship season, not a production season. You’ll learn how to protect your momentum by focusing on intentional conversations and contact information, instead of overworking or disappearing completely.

    You’ll learn:

    • Why the holidays are a powerful time for connection, not pressure
    • How setting a clear intention keeps opportunities from passing you by
    • Where everyday real estate conversations naturally show up during the holidays
    • Why conversations plus contact information create momentum for January and beyond
    • How to release guilt and trust that small, consistent actions compound

This isn’t just content. This is coaching. Let’s go.

If you do not set the intention, the moment will pass you by.

Where can you be more intentional this week about starting a conversation or collecting contact information?

  • Essentials 6 and 7: Tracking and Accountability
    2025/12/17

If consistency feels hard and results feel unpredictable, this episode will show you how tracking and accountability work together to create calm, sustainable momentum in your Double Duty business.

This podcast is for the real estate agents building their dream life and business on their terms, especially if you are working another job, raising a family, or doing it all at once. In this episode of the Double Duty Agent Podcast, we return to the Essentials series and focus on Essentials 6 and 7: Tracking and Accountability.

You have already built the foundation with your why, your schedule, your goals, your plan, and your systems. Now it is time to talk about how you know if those things are actually working. Tracking gives you clarity. Accountability gives you consistency. Together, they help your business feel grounded instead of emotional and intentional instead of reactive.

    You’ll learn:

    • Why tracking and accountability must work together
    • The GPS analogy and how tracking answers the question “Are we there yet?”
    • The difference between lead measures and lag measures
    • The two most important lead measures every agent should track: conversations and appointments
    • Other actions you may track based on your GPS and 4-1-1, including texts, database growth, social engagement, open houses, and door knocking
    • Why starting small with tracking creates more consistency than trying to track everything
    • How accountability reduces decision fatigue and helps you follow through when energy is low

This episode is about replacing guessing with clarity and self-criticism with adjustment. You do not need more motivation. You need better information and the right support.

You do not control closings, but you absolutely control the number of conversations you have and the number of appointments you schedule.

What would change in your business if you consistently tracked your conversations and appointments for the next four weeks and reviewed them with curiosity instead of judgment?

  • Coach’s Corner: Should You Tell Clients You Have Another Job?
    2025/12/05

If you’ve ever wondered whether being open about your dual-career life will hurt your business or help it, this episode brings clarity and confidence to the conversation.

This podcast is for the real estate agents building their dream life and business on their terms, especially if you’re working another job, raising a family, or building it all at once.

In today’s Coach’s Corner, we explore a common mindset challenge: whether clients will take you seriously if they know you have another job. Inspired by a Facebook post shared with me (and a thank-you to former podcast guest Lori Dabbs Gayton for bringing it forward), we walk through this using the RISE Framework. You’ll walk away with grounded confidence and a sustainable path forward.

    You’ll learn:

    • Why being a Double Duty Agent is your reality, not a liability
    • How to question the belief that clients expect 24/7 availability
    • A simple way to communicate your schedule with confidence
    • What clients truly want from you
    • How setting expectations and building systems supports both your business and your life

This isn’t just content. This is coaching. Let’s go.

Your clients don’t need you all the time. They need clarity about when you’re available and what happens if something urgent comes up.

What came up for you in this episode? What’s one small, meaningful action you can take today to set clearer expectations with your clients?
