Shaun Connolly cartwheels up the red carpet to steal America's heart on the silver screen of our podcast.

As always, these are actual cold reads by people who have never seen the sketches before.

    "Betting Shark" at 3:39

    "Zoo Guy" at 12:13

"The Demon and the Doorknob" at 22:22

    "Attic" at 30:50

    "Classroom" at 40:27

    "Turkey Brothers'" at 52:57

It goes: Ocean's 11 of gas stations except it's an ad, then a new (awful) kind of guy, the doorknob to hell itself, a meditation on attics, John hits for the cycle of his three voices, and What's Eating Gilbert Grape but if it was about sliced turkey. Yanno, cinema!

We also chat weddings, lotto swag, Shaun's time as a teacher, and a bunch of other stuff.

Zack Norton wrote half of the sketches so send your complaints to him! We don't wanna hear it!

Go to Shaun and Bryan's screening of Hubie Halloween at Hunchback Gallery in Worcester! It's October 12th @ 7pm you heard it here last.

Hosted by John Farrell, Thom Crowley, and Katlin McFee.

    2025/09/28

Raoul Biron brings his movie star magnetism back to the table of reading dumb sketches. Cinema!

    "Parking Lot" at 4:20

    "Bed Bugs" at 13:33

    "Baseball" at 21:54

    "Newton" at 32:54

    "Wing Dings" at 42:48

    "Surfin'" at 49:08

An angry old guy gives way to an angry guy's subconcious, and then some kind of Babe Ruth-style legal scam. Maybe he's a lawyer? Either way we skim over some kinda gross medical stuff, and also veer into a thing about bed bugs, so good vibes only!

After a halftime chat about the US Open, things go back to 1600s England. Also I looked it up just now and Copernicus was Polish and not Italian but you know what? Who cares. This is living cinema. Then sketches about fonts and da beach. Whatever.

Zack Norton delivers once again, in the sense that everyone was unsettled by two sketches. Thanks, Zack!

Go to Chuckles in Harvard Square!

Hosted by John Farrell, Thom Crowley, and Katlin McFee.

    2025/09/21

Carly and Maylin return to the table of success and deliver Golden Globe Shortlist level performances. It's a big deal!

As always, these are cold reads of comedy sketches by people who haver never seen the sketches before.

    "Hospital Visit" at 4:06

    "Mrs. Doubtfires" at 13:59

    "Call-In Show" at 22:39

    "Spare Tire" at 34:27

    "Roast Battle" at 42:20

    "The Condo" at 51:29

It goes: Man vs Horse, insane fixation on Mrs. Doubtfire, then a whole sports talk radio thing that really explores the space. Then a very confused heist, some inter-city conflict, and the harsh realities of being a Condo Guy.

Big ups to Zack Norton for escalating what is already a very weird show! It's genuinely impressive!

Hosted by John Farrell, Thom Crowley, and Katlin McFee.

Chris Post and Tim Champa debut on the Stubbs A-List tier of being a movie star, and boy was it a hoot.

As always, these are cold reads of comedy sketches by people who haver never seen the sketches before.

    "New Apartment" at 4:57

    "Breastucci's" at 16:15

    "Magic Lamp" at 24:37

    "Private Eye" at 36:14

    "Grave Robbers" at 42:20

    "Yoga" at 49:40

We go from haunted apartment showings to figuring out What's Up With Hooters, also Tim plays a disrespectful genie while John kept it familiar (more Nixon!). I got embarassed by how much I think about Abraham Lincoln but hey, there's worse hobbies. Just read the news!

Then, things close out with a horse procedural, some guys at work, and a man finding relief for his back pain. Nothing else going on here.

Big ups to Zack Norton for escalating what is already a very weird show! It's impressive!

Hosted by John Farrell, Thom Crowley, and Katlin McFee.

  • 32 - "His last name was Progresso"
    2025/09/07

Danya Trommer and Tyler Durniak make their respective debuts on life's biggest stage: Our dumb podcast. Also John wasn't here because he was busy firing people.

We soldier on regardless, through scenes from a funeral parlor, a book publisher, and civic heroism. What a ride! Then some Catholic electioneering washed down with robber barons who take to the skies. After that, it's a journey into blankets that is really hard to describe but that's why we play this game, baby!

Also the riffs were fun and dumb, the Zack Norton sketches were real weird, and we got another week's worth of Hollywood magic on tape. Dazzling!

Per usual, these are first-reads of comedy sketches by people who have never seen the sketches before. Please don't fire us, John.

  • 31 - "That distant mountain porno store"
    2025/08/31

Ryan Ellington takes a seat at our table of showbiz and Sean Sullivan makes his debut chronicling a legendary retirement, the trials of cooking show television, and the emasculation of a suburban homeowner. Ennui, baby!

Things go off the rails almost immediately with difficulties both technical (Sean has never used a computer) and personal (Sean took the casting personally). But we prevailed! Barely!

We also talk mountain sales (because of John), elder-on-elder violence (because of Zack), and a stupid piano thing (you're welcome). It was very fun, thanks to Zack Norton for the sketches, we didn't mean anything we said about you unless it was nice.

As always, these are cold reads of comedy sketches by people who haver never seen the sketches before. Wow.

  • 30 - "Shut up Kristin, you're poor!"
    2025/08/24

Zach Stewart and Anthony Rinaldi are on the call sheet for some hotel lobby drama, equicide-related trauma, and an undercooked thing about slap fights. Coulda been good!

This was an extremely silly time with fun anectdotes and John crashing out on character choices in real time. He's an executive, not an actor! Also sketches about shooting pool, vehicular homicide and revisiting your past. Whoa, are we network television?

As always, these are sketch comedy first-reads by people who have never seen the sketches before. What a thing to do.

    "Hotel Lobby" at 4:38

    "Reunion" at 50:31

Eternal thanks to head writer Zack Norton for the sketches. Finally, someone brave enough to say that women are scary. You cowards aren't!

Hosted by @john_matthew_farrell, @thomcrowley, and @katlin.mcfee, of course.

  • 29 - "Looking for bank robber investors"
    2025/08/17

Owen Linders and Rob Crean stop by to explore publishing, the real estate market, and yet another bank robbery. What's the difference, right? Nobody answer that.

Katlin wasn't around so it wasn't as fun as usual, but we still had a good time talking about credit cards, hypnotism, and the road to hell. Regular stuff! Be normal!

As always, these are sketch comedy first-reads by people who have never seen the sketches before. Living cinema. So brave.

    "Chuck's Pitch" at 4:30

    "The Ride" at 45:03

Thanks to Zack Norton for the sketches, sorry for all the disrespect, but that's the toll, baby.

Hosted by @john_matthew_farrell, @thomcrowley, and not @katlin.mcfee, for once.
