  • #21 Why men hide their pain and how to start feeling again (with Taylor Bradley)
    2025/07/30
“All those years worrying what everyone thought… and I could’ve just gone.” At 14, Taylor lost his mum to alcoholism. For years he wore masks people-pleasing, numbing, dissociating until testicular cancer at 28 forced a reckoning. In this very honest conversation, he traces the path from grief and anxiety to breathwork and men’s circles - work he now brings into the ConnectionHub, creating spaces where men feel safe to be real. We talk about: Catching his mum drinking at 11 and becoming the “rescuer” kid Masks, bullying, paranoia and why numbness feels safer than feeling Weed, weekend benders and what changes when intention does The cancer phone call that reset his priorities The “armour at night” protector and learning to let it step aside Somatic/emotional release, breathwork and brotherhood as medicine Practical courage for young men: taking the first uncomfortable step If you’re stuck in the loop - performing, numbing, pretending - this one’s a mirror and an invitation. • #20 He lost his way, then built the "Fellaship" to help men find theirs (with Luke Grant)
    2025/07/16

“I watched him die in front of me.”

Luke Grant was just nine years old when he witnessed his father - a professional rugby league player - pass away from a heart attack. That moment changed everything. It set Luke on a path marked by grief, pressure, identity loss and, eventually, self-destruction.

After a promising career in rugby league, Luke found himself retired at 22, injured, lost, and spiraling into drugs, partying and purposelessness. But the real story is what came next.

Through heartbreak, hard lessons, and the deaths of men close to him, Luke chose a different path. He built what he wished he had: a space for men to be seen, supported, and held accountable. That space is the Fellaship, a community built on sweat, breathwork, honesty and real brotherhood.

In this episode, we unpack Luke’s story raw, unfiltered and deeply human. We talk about masculinity, the cost of silence, how drinking masks emotional pain, why setting boundaries matters and what it really takes to find your way again.

If you’ve ever felt lost, disconnected or unsure how to show up as a man - this one’s for you.

  • #19 When mental illness becomes physical: A 10‑Year battle with eating disorders (with James Roffey)
    2025/07/02

“When mental illness becomes physical, that’s when you realise it’s not just in your head.”

James Roffey had a privileged start, with private schooling and dreams of football glory. But at 17, he lost his pathway: a football academy release shattered his identity. Grief, rejection and expectations spiraled into a decade-long struggle with anorexia and bulimia. He became trapped in a physical expression of mental illness, distancing himself from loved ones and nearly losing everything.

Against the odds, James chose recovery. Through therapy, unwavering discipline and rebuilding healthy routines, he reclaimed his body and mind. Today, he is a certified personal trainer turned high-performance coach, using his story to guide men toward resilience, self-awareness and honest communication.

This episode lays bare his journey from collapse to clarity and offers a powerful blueprint for anyone facing their own cracks.
