このコンテンツについて

Built on the mantra “run the runnable,” we focus on what’s possible rather than the pressure of perfection. Everything we do embraces an accessible, light-hearted, and sustainable way of training and racing—welcoming runners of all abilities to join the adventure. Inspired by nature and the freedom of the outdoors, we marry our laid-back approach to running with a tenacious desire to push the limits of what’s possible. We prioritise community, inclusivity, and a balanced way to run, encouraging everyone to embrace their own version of what’s “runnable.” That’s Runnable is here to inspire you to enjoy the run while building a friendly and supportive community around the sport.© 2025 Tommy Lewis ランニング・ジョギング 衛生・健康的な生活

  • #51 - Why Does He Keep Going? Inside Sam Harvey’s Pain Threshold
    2025/08/21

Some people are wired different. Sam Harvey is one of those people. Having recently bagged the World Record Assist at Dead Cow Gully Backyard Ultra with 118 laps, winning Tarawera Ultra Trail NZ (by UTMB), and many other noteworthy performances, Sam has quickly made a name for himself in the world of elite ultra running over the last few years, and he's showing no signs of slowing down on his mission to continue competing at the highest level.

Tommy spoke to Sam about what it takes to keep going when things don't go to plan, focusing on enjoying training and racing and holding ourselves to high standards.

  • #50 - Facing the Truth: Monty Purcell's Story - From Addiction to Redemption
    2025/08/14

For the 50th Episode of That's Runnable, Tommy speaks to Monty Purcell. His story is one of hope and redemption from the darkest part of his life. It's a surprisingly relatable story of overcoming addiction, experiencing "rock bottom", of facing the truth, having hard conversations, and seeking help. Monty is raising £10K for CALM (the Campaign Against Living Miserably) by running 10km a day until he reaches this fundraising target. He's on a mission to encourage others like him to talk and to let you know that you're not alone.

Thank you to Monty for coming on and sharing your story.

Please show your support by offering whatever you can on his JustGiving page here.

This episode contains discussions around addiction, suicide, and mental health struggles. If these topics have affected you personally, please take care while listening and know that support is out there.

In the UK, you can reach out to CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably) at thecalmzone.net for a free, confidential webchat, or call 0800 58 58 58 - open every day from 5PM to midnight.

Please remember: you don’t have to go through it alone.
We know how heavy things can get. And we know how hard it can be to open up, especially when your mind tells you it won’t help, or that no one will understand. But speaking to someone, even just one person, can start to lift the weight.

You don’t have to have the right words. You don’t need to explain everything. Just start where you are.
You’re not a burden. You’re not weak. You’re human. And you are worthy of support.
