Welcome to the Texas Women Podcast.
We're kicking the show off with my favorite Texas Woman, Elisabet Ney - a true spitfire, known for brandishing one fat middle finger to nearly all social norms of her time, and ours. Her story is one of political intrigue, artistic prowess, and fierce independence.
Ney was arguably the origin and creator of modern day Texan feminism - in my opinion - and though she was not from around these parts, she certainly earned her Lone Star as a true Texan.
