Now for the song. Wow! So many thoughts! We deem The Tortured Poets Department an overall positive song, a refresher on this album. But self-aware Taylor throws some shade at the subject of this song. And we are left to wonder, when was this song written and for whom was it written.

We are FINALLY breaking down and pairing cocktails to Taylor Swift's FIRST EVER SONG ever released. This song, unlike a few others that we've discussed off the debut album, is quite meaningful and full of poignant lyrics. Its choice to be Taylor's first ever lead single was interesting, but also quite brilliant.

Surprise surprise….we BOTH chose Tim McGraw (the actual artist, not the song. Confusing, we know) as our “new shit” this week. It’s classic country and sometimes that’s cringey to Sam, but he’s pretty undeniably catchy as well.
