  • How Much Bitcoin Before You Can Quit Your Job? | Trey Sellers of Strike
    2026/10/18

Trey Sellers runs the numbers on retiring early, and then he runs them again with Bitcoin in the portfolio. The FIRE movement says save hard, buy the index, and you can walk away from work decades sooner than anyone told you. Trey came up through fifteen years in banking and capital markets, spent five years at Unchained, and now leads the private client business at Strike. He has been a Bitcoiner since 2014.

I sold every building I owned to buy Bitcoin, so I came at this from real estate rather than index funds. Trey came at it from spreadsheets and a libertarian streak that started with Ron Paul in 2008. We ended up in the same place by completely different roads.

If the stock market returns ten percent a year and that supports a four percent withdrawal rate, what withdrawal rate does Bitcoin support?

HOW MUCH BITCOIN DO YOU NEED BEFORE YOU CAN STOP WORKING? Trey takes one person from twenty years old to eighty, and answers the question at every stage: what to do first, when to stop pushing, how to start spending again, and how to pass it on without losing it.

    He explains:

    - Why a 25 percent compound annual growth rate justifies an 8 percent withdrawal rate, and how to blend that across a portfolio that is not all Bitcoin

    - The stack sprint: go as hard as you can for four or five years, then coast, because the habits you build saving are the habits that stop you spending later

    - Why he is avoiding the ETF unless he has no other option, and what he looks for in a place to buy instead

    - Why he thinks a young saver should not hold an emergency fund at all, and what the counterfactual actually costs

    - Why he would never own his home without a mortgage on it, even at today's rates

  • Did Strategy Cost Bitcoiners 150,000 BTC? | Parker Lewis of Zaprite
    2026/10/02

Parker Lewis thinks bitcoin treasury companies may be doing the opposite of what Bitcoiners think they are doing. His argument is that investors have collectively saved about 150,000 fewer Bitcoin by buying these equities instead of Bitcoin. Parker believes Strategy's marketing is positioning Bitcoin as something other than currency and that's a huge risk. Parker spent his career in investment banking, credit restructuring and hedge funds before helping build Unchained, and he now leads Business Development at Zaprite.

I own Strategy stock. I also self custody, run a node and sold my real estate for Bitcoin. I came to Bitcoin for the Freedom, I stayed for the Number Go Up technology. Parker and I agree for the first forty three minutes, then we get to the question that actually divides us.

Does wrapping Bitcoin in public equities help Bitcoin adoption, or does it pull capital away from Bitcoin while recreating the financial system Bitcoin was designed to replace?

DO BITCOIN TREASURY COMPANIES ACTUALLY HELP BITCOIN ADOPTION? Parker separates the argument into two questions. Do the securities outperform simply saving in Bitcoin, and what happens when Bitcoin is marketed as the asset underneath a new layer of fiat instruments rather than as currency itself?

    He explains:

    - Why money printing is the fundamental problem in our financial system, and why BTC's finite supply will force the Fiat world to reach a breaking point - Gradually, Then Suddenly

    - How crypto competes with Bitcoin, and why Parker explains why humanity has always converges on one form of money

    - Why buying a Bitcoin treasury company at a premium can leave you with less Bitcoin, even when the company keeps acquiring more

    - Why perpetual preferreds create a risk investors may misunderstand, even when they trade back to par

    - What he would choose between a treasury company and a spot ETF, despite not advocating for either

  • I Sold Every Building I Owned to Buy Bitcoin! | Leon Wankum
    2026/09/23

Leon Wankum wrote one of the first financial economics theses on Bitcoin, in 2015, and he got there through Austrian economics, not a chart. He develops, finances and manages real estate in Germany, and builds Bitcoin strategies for other developers and investors. His book Digital Real Estate is published by Bitcoin Magazine and launches in New York this week.

Real estate has been the world's savings account since 1971, and Leon's argument is that it was never designed for the job. A house is shelter that got handed a second career storing value, which is why it costs what it costs. His own business is the proof: find people with capital, develop the property, manage it, collect the rent. After years of doing exactly that he concluded he was never really in the shelter business at all.

LEON BREAKS DOWN THE DIGITAL REAL ESTATE THESIS

    He explains:

    - Why he is not in the business of providing shelter, and what he thinks he actually sells

    - How a 2015 thesis and a philosophy degree got him into Bitcoin before it was a trade

    - Why Strike behaves like a rental property when it trades under par, and where that comparison breaks

    - What selling his gold, stocks and ETFs into Bitcoin cost him when the cycle turned

  • The Man Who Broke the Bank of England Now Runs the Treasury | Joe Consorti of Horizon
    2026/09/22

Joe Consorti is one of the fastest growing Bitcoin macro analysts on YouTube, close to five hundred videos deep and publishing every few days to thirty thousand subscribers. He built his framework at The Bitcoin Layer alongside Nik Bhatia, and now runs Horizon, which helps homeowners convert home equity into Bitcoin. He is a maxi who does not believe in a Bitcoin standard, thinks the ETFs are a gift rather than a threat, and will tell you the state is not coming for your coins.

Joe's whole method is to take what has already happened, find the current trend, and extrapolate it forward. He refuses to forecast on vibes, which is why his read sounds nothing like the timeline's.

In 1992 Scott Bessent sat on the side that broke the Bank of England, when a central bank tried to defend its currency and lost. He is now the US Treasury Secretary, and Joe's read is that he is running the same play in reverse, holding the long end down instead of blowing it up. Bessent's own line: "I am the house now."

WHAT ACTUALLY MOVES THE BITCOIN PRICE? Not the headlines, and not Washington. Joe takes it back to the US Treasury market, where yields set the opportunity cost for every other asset on earth. Understand that one market, he argues, and you have ninety percent of macro. From there he walks the levels he actually watches: oil, the two year yield, the fifty week moving average, MVRV, and the cost basis levels that decide where price goes next.

    He explains:

    - Why the ETFs are the single greatest orange pilling tool ever invented, from a man who self custodies

    - How the US Treasury market works, and why understanding one chart is ninety percent of macro

    - Why Bitcoin does not need to be the world's reserve currency to win, and already clears the bar that matters

    - What Scott Bessent did to the Bank of England in 1992, and why he is running the same play in reverse today

  • Your Node Doesn't Vote. Economic Weight Does | Michael Sullivan of Blood of the Bourgeoisie
    2026/09/02

Michael Sullivan spent a little over three years writing a novel - every single day, cutting eight of his favourite chapters because they didn't serve the story - and then pointed the same obsessiveness at Bitcoin's language. He is an engineer by trade, the author of Blood of the Bourgeoisie, and the creator of Bitcoin Sentiment Weekly, where he measures the market's mood by tracking how individual people's words change over time. His view of the alternative is not gentle: fear and greed indexes, he says, are straight up garbage.

The host of this show is in his terminal installing Homebrew with no idea what he's doing, and has described himself as the monkey holding the hammer. His guest built the entire thing himself - dashboards, ingestion pipelines, the lot - and reckons it would have taken a team of ten people a year without AI.

The first person he ever ran the machine on was himself. He watched his own optimism climb in his own tweets and discovered he had top-ticked the market with it, consistently. Then he did it to Michael Saylor, then to Peter Schiff, and then to the whole BIP-110 fight - where he found the people arguing against it were growing more confident over time while its supporters quietly hedged more, and that the angriest cohort he has ever measured was the one that lost.

WHAT DOES A BOTTOM SOUND LIKE? Desire - wanting language - has been in the absolute gutter, at levels not seen in about seven years. He co-wrote "Peak apathy" with @checkonchain and their read is that almost nobody is willing to say out loud that this might already be the start of a bull market, which is exactly what a disbelief rally sounds like from the inside.

    He explains:

    - Why he read The Blocksize War and came away with the opposite conclusion to everyone else - your node was never the thing that decided it

    - How the algorithm quietly picked a side in the BIP-110 fight, and why Lynn Alden got ratioed by accounts a fraction of her size

    - Why "desire" at a seven-year low is the most bullish signal he tracks, and why narrative itself is nearly worthless

    - What happened when he measured Saylor's own cohorts - which one is angry, which one is convicted, and which one stopped caring about price entirely

Views expressed by the host & guest(s) are their own and are shared for general informational purposes only. Nothing here should be treated as medical, legal, or financial advice. This is Financial Entertainment.

  • Bitcoin Maxis are Wrong! What Hyperbitcoinization REALLY looks like? | Adrian Morris of True North
    2026/08/31

@_Adrian is a founding member of True North with more than twenty years in markets and over a decade in Bitcoin, and he has landed somewhere most of the people around him haven't: he does not think hyper-Bitcoinization is coming. Not late, not delayed - not coming. His question for anyone who disagrees takes one sentence and is very hard to answer: what sovereign nation would adopt a currency it can't control? He holds degrees in sociology, information systems, psychology and computer science plus a master's in analytics, and blends them on purpose: in his view people pick one lane and it costs them the whole picture.

The host of this show is, by his own description, the monkey holding the hammer when it comes to AI - still losing to his own inbox. His guest runs a compute cluster at home, chains agents into each other until the machine starts to buckle, and has pushed sixty-four equities through a modelling framework he built from scratch.

Then the part that will annoy people. Adrian borrowed against his Bitcoin to buy Nvidia and Strategy - a cardinal sin in some rooms - wrote options against the position, and used the premium to buy more spot Bitcoin and put it in cold storage. He doesn't own MSTR for Bitcoin per share or Bitcoin yield; he owns it for directional exposure. And he'll tell you plainly that digital credit is not backed by Bitcoin. It's supported by it, and the difference is the entire argument.

SO WHAT ACTUALLY MOVES THE PRICE? Strategy told the market it would get STRC back to par and listed the levers it would pull. Adrian has modelled every one of those levers against price action since inception - Bitcoin, the parent equity, trading volume, daily short volume, the dividend, the USD reserve - and concludes the buyback was never a lever at all, that Stretch turned before the buybacks began, and that a security sitting on top of MSTR sitting on top of Bitcoin cannot have its price engineered by the company underneath it.

    He explains:

    - Why hyper-Bitcoinization fails on sovereign incentives, then fails again on the human layer the Cold Card drain just exposed

    - How he reaches the same conclusion by two unrelated routes - once through Bitcoin, once through AI agents picking a currency

    - Why buybacks never moved Stretch, and why SATA swings four times as hard on the same Bitcoin

    - What "sentiment" means when you treat the financial data itself as the sentiment, not the news written about it

Views expressed by the host & guest(s) are their own and are shared for general informational purposes only. Nothing here should be treated as medical, legal, or financial advice. This is Financial Entertainment.
