@_Adrian is a founding member of True North with more than twenty years in markets and over a decade in Bitcoin, and he has landed somewhere most of the people around him haven't: he does not think hyper-Bitcoinization is coming. Not late, not delayed - not coming. His question for anyone who disagrees takes one sentence and is very hard to answer: what sovereign nation would adopt a currency it can't control? He holds degrees in sociology, information systems, psychology and computer science plus a master's in analytics, and blends them on purpose: in his view people pick one lane and it costs them the whole picture.
The host of this show is, by his own description, the monkey holding the hammer when it comes to AI - still losing to his own inbox. His guest runs a compute cluster at home, chains agents into each other until the machine starts to buckle, and has pushed sixty-four equities through a modelling framework he built from scratch.
Then the part that will annoy people. Adrian borrowed against his Bitcoin to buy Nvidia and Strategy - a cardinal sin in some rooms - wrote options against the position, and used the premium to buy more spot Bitcoin and put it in cold storage. He doesn't own MSTR for Bitcoin per share or Bitcoin yield; he owns it for directional exposure. And he'll tell you plainly that digital credit is not backed by Bitcoin. It's supported by it, and the difference is the entire argument.
SO WHAT ACTUALLY MOVES THE PRICE? Strategy told the market it would get STRC back to par and listed the levers it would pull. Adrian has modelled every one of those levers against price action since inception - Bitcoin, the parent equity, trading volume, daily short volume, the dividend, the USD reserve - and concludes the buyback was never a lever at all, that Stretch turned before the buybacks began, and that a security sitting on top of MSTR sitting on top of Bitcoin cannot have its price engineered by the company underneath it.
He explains:
- Why hyper-Bitcoinization fails on sovereign incentives, then fails again on the human layer the Cold Card drain just exposed
- How he reaches the same conclusion by two unrelated routes - once through Bitcoin, once through AI agents picking a currency
- Why buybacks never moved Stretch, and why SATA swings four times as hard on the same Bitcoin
- What "sentiment" means when you treat the financial data itself as the sentiment, not the news written about it
