  • Inside the Smurl Haunting and the Warren Legacy with Chris McKinnell
    2025/08/20

Episode 45: In this episode of Slice of the Paranormal, we sit down with Chris McKinnell, grandson of world-famous paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren. Chris is also the founder and CEO of the Warren Legacy Foundation for Paranormal Research, which continues the work of helping people affected by unexplained phenomena. With the next Conjuring movie titled Last Rites on the way, many believe it will draw inspiration from the real-life Smurl Haunting that took place in West Pittston Pennsylvania. Chris is the perfect guest to speak with because he personally investigated the Smurl case in the 1970s. In this episode we cover: • The true story of the Smurl Haunting • What Chris experienced on Chase Street • How the Warren Legacy Foundation helps people facing paranormal events around the world If you or someone you know is dealing with strange and disturbing activity, this episode offers a deeper look into one of the most intense cases in American paranormal history. The Warrens may be gone, but their work is alive through Chris and his global team.

  • Haunted Hotel Edison - Ghosts of Sunbury PA & the Peanut Baby Grave
    2025/08/13

Episode 43: In this week’s episode of Slice of the Paranormal, we travel to Sunbury, Pennsylvania to investigate the haunted Hotel Edison—the very site where Thomas Edison first demonstrated his revolutionary three-wire lighting system. But that’s just the beginning.

This historic hotel survived a devastating fire and has been the final stop for several souls. Locals say it’s haunted, and we’re here to find out why. We dive into ghost stories tied to the building and explore Edison’s fascination with the afterlife, including his strange ambition to build a “Spirit Phone”—a device he hoped could contact the dead. It might sound like science fiction, but old issues of Popular Mechanics suggest otherwise...

While in Sunbury, we also dig into some local legends and strange graves, including:

    • The mysterious Peanut Baby (George W. Metzgar)

    • Civil War Drummer Boy John Boulton Young, better known as “Boultie”

And of course—it wouldn’t be a Slice trip without a stop for local Pennsylvania pizza.

🔦 Paranormal investigation meets strange history, ghost stories, and small-town mysteries.

  • The Creeper Gallery: Where Haunted Objects Come to Life
    2025/08/06

Episode 42: In this episode of Slice of the Paranormal, we travel to New Hope Pennsylvania to explore The Creeper Gallery, a strange and haunted antique shop packed with cursed dolls, ghost stories, and a chilling atmosphere you can feel the second you walk in. The gallery was created by artist and collector Donna Marian. Inside, she’s blended her dark gothic art with haunted objects and paranormal energy. Visitors and investigators have reported encounters with multiple spirits, including Mike the Hanging Ghost and Madeleine, the ghost of a young girl believed to haunt a doll in the store. The shop’s infamous Red Room is filled with creepy items Donna has collected over the years, many of them allegedly cursed or connected to documented hauntings. Paranormal investigator John Ruggiero, founder of New Jersey Paranormal, has explored the location multiple times. The footage they’ve captured? Truly unsettling. We went to see it all for ourselves. And as always, we ended the investigation with a stop for local pizza at Market Pizza just down the street. Watch now and experience one of Pennsylvania’s most haunted places. Ghosts. History. Pizza. This is what we do.
