• Building Technology with Human Stakes: AI, Trust & Digital Identity with Anupriya Ramraj | Skin in the Game
    2026/08/31

We rarely think about our important documents — until we need them.

    Our identity documents.
    Our medical records.
    Our credentials.
Our proof of who we are.

What happens when we suddenly can't access them?

For foster youth, disaster survivors, people experiencing housing instability, and families navigating major life transitions, access can be much harder. And that can affect far more than paperwork — it can affect identity, opportunity, and control.

That is what led Anupriya Ramraj, Founder & CEO of Vaultzy Inc., to ask a bigger question:

How can technology give people more control when life becomes uncertain?

In this episode of Skin in The Game with Debbie Go, Anu and I explore the human side of AI, digital identity, responsible technology, healthcare, and the future of work.

Anu brings more than 25 years of experience leading cloud, data, and AI transformation at HP, Unisys, DXC Technology, and PwC. She is also the co-author, with her daughter Avanti, of When AI Robots Knock, a book exploring how AI is reshaping careers and industries across generations.

    In this conversation, we explore:

The power of digital identity: Why access to essential records is about more than paperwork — it can mean identity, dignity, and opportunity.

Responsible AI in action: Why human oversight, explainability, and addressing bias are essential when AI touches healthcare and sensitive personal data.

Purpose-driven AI: Why leaders need to focus on the problem they are solving and the impact they want to create — not adopt AI simply for the sake of it.

The “human premium”: Why human connection, empathy, and judgment may become even more valuable as AI scales.

If you're interested in AI strategy, responsible AI, digital identity, blockchain, healthcare AI, AI literacy, leadership, or the future of work, this conversation is for you.

  • When Technology Has Real Skin in the Game | Anupriya Ramraj (Teaser)
    2026/08/30

What if access to the right documents and guidance could change a young person's path?

For foster youth, something as basic as having the right documentation — and knowing what to apply for, when to apply, and what documents are needed — can become a significant barrier to education and employment.

For Anupriya Ramraj, Founder & CEO of Vaultzy Inc., this is where technology became personal.

After hearing about foster youth who can move from home to home with little more than a pillowcase of belongings, Anu began to see a much bigger problem: access to identity, documentation, and the guidance needed to move forward.

In this teaser from Skin in the Game, Anu shares the moment she realized there was “real skin in the game” — because the technology they were building could have a real impact on people's lives.

  • Human-Centred Innovation: AI, Entrepreneurship & Dance with Lilian Sanada | Skin in the Game
    2026/08/03

What do AI-powered business communication, a dance studio, and workplace trust have in common?

For Lilian Sanada, co-founder & Chief Innovation Officer of Sanada Labs and founder & CEO of Dance Floor, the connection is human behaviour. Across her ventures, she designs experiences that reduce friction, create connection, and make positive routines easier to sustain.

In the latest episode of Skin in the Game with Debbie Go, we explore what human-centred innovation looks like when it moves beyond a buzzword and into daily practice.

Lilian’s insight is especially timely: Technology creates opportunity. Adoption creates value.

At Sanada Labs, that means challenging assumptions before building solutions. The team spends real time with users, and design AI around actual routines. Lilian points to Vox to Go, an AI communication platform built by fellow Stanford GSB LEAD alum Guilherme Scarance. Before building the product, the team listened to small-business owners and observed how they communicated with customers. They found that many had compelling stories and expertise but struggled to articulate why customers should choose them.
At Dance Floor, the same behavioural lens takes a different form. It’s less a traditional dance class and more a welcoming, judgment-free space where people reconnect with movement, energy and tech that helps them notice emotional growth over time.
    We also talk about:
🔹 Why technology creates opportunity, but adoption creates value
🔹 What shifts when leaders dance together and see people before titles
🔹 How to pursue meaningful impact without normalising exhaustion as commitment
🔹 Why curiosity often guides better than certainty during career transitions

  • Mindful Creativity & Leadership: Handmade Ikigai | Skin in the Game With Debbie Go
    2026/07/06

Can working with your hands physically lower your stress and make you a more grounded leader?

In this episode of the Skin in the Game Podcast, host Debbie Go sits down with Federica Perri, founder and CEO of Handmade Ikigai, a mindful art creativity platform designed for busy, overwhelmed minds. After managing over $20 million portfolios at Google and Meta, Federica made the leap from Big Tech to build a business that helps leaders pause, reconnect, and lead with greater presence through tactile experiences like pottery, kintsugi, and texture art.

What you’ll learn in this conversation:

    • The personal wake-up call: a promotion that satisfied her for 10 minutes, then “What’s next now?”
    • The brain science: how tactile creativity quiets the amygdala, pulls you out of problem-solving mode, and lowers cortisol in 75% of people after just 45 minutes.
    • The Harvard research showing we spend 47% of waking hours mentally drifting to the past or future — and how mindful creativity anchors us back.

Federica puts it with disarming clarity:
“When you use your hands, you are not in that problem-solving space anymore.”

Her approach isn’t about art classes or perfect outputs. It’s about mindful art experiences, backed by an art therapist, where #leaders can laugh when their clay collapses, share openly, and finally reconnect with the present.

  • Why Leaders Need Mindful Art | Skin in the Game with Debbie Go (Teaser)
    2026/07/05

🎨 Can creativity make you a better leader?

In this teaser episode of Skin in the Game with Debbie Go, Federica Perri, Founder of Handmade Ikigai, shares why some of the biggest breakthroughs she's witnessed haven't happened in boardrooms—but around an art table.

Her participants include executives and leaders who spend their days making high-stakes decisions and leading large teams. During a mindful art experience, however, they're invited to do something radically different: slow down, focus on what's right in front of them, and simply create.

The most memorable moments aren't when someone produces a beautiful piece of art.

They're when someone laughs because their clay cup collapses.

"That laugh is exactly what keeps me going," Federica says.

That moment represents something much bigger:
    • Letting go of perfection.
    • Being fully present.
    • Reducing stress.
    • Rediscovering joy through creativity.

That's why she doesn't call these sessions art classes.

She calls them mindful art experiences.

They're designed to help people reconnect with themselves, cultivate mindfulness, improve emotional wellbeing, and develop greater resilience—one creative moment at a time.

If you're curious about mindfulness, leadership, stress management, creativity, or executive wellbeing, this conversation offers practical insights into why the creative process matters far more than the finished product.

  • Quiet Strength, Global Grit: Skin in the Game with Ping Yan
    2026/06/01

What happens when a data architect leaves behind a stable high-tech career to build a bridge between Chinese manufacturing and the U.S. market? On this episode of #SkinInTheGamewithDebbieGo, Ping Yan, founder of ABS International and CEO of EverGrace Home, shares the unfiltered, practical leadership lessons that only come from navigating real uncertainty.

Ping didn’t just change industries. She walked away from a predictable path and into a world with no roadmap. Over two decades, that move taught her something about leadership that’s easy to overlook.

Resilience helps us stay in the game, but adaptability moves us forward.” - Ping Yan.

She lives that distinction daily. In a world of shifting tariffs, customer demand changes, and supply chain shocks, her ability to pivot is what turns staying power into forward motion. The result isn’t a loud, reactive leadership style. It’s a quiet decisiveness, and a long‑term view that outlasts the chaos. As Ping puts it, quiet strength comes from going through enough uncertainty to learn that not every situation needs a strong reaction, just a calm decision.

If you’re leading across borders, managing teams through constant change, or rethinking what real strength looks like at the top, this episode will leave you with a blueprint.

  • Quiet Strength, Better Questions, and Why Trust Outlasts Intensity | Ping Yan on Skin in the Game (Teaser)
    2026/05/31

When Ping Yan built ABS, she believed a leader’s job was to have every answer.

She worked day and night, solving every problem, trying to control every outcome. The moment she began to release that belief, her business started to thrive.

In this episode of #SkinInTheGamewithDebbieGo, I sit down with Ping, CEO of ABS International and Co-founder of EverGrace Home, to understand that shift. She now calls the result “quiet strength.”

Early on, Ping thought leadership meant having all the answers. Over time, she learned to stop solving and start asking better questions – letting experts lead in their fields. She discovered that consistency and calm build far more trust than constant intensity. Resilience, she says, is built by staying in the game, staying agile, and refusing to quit through uncertainty.

She crystallised it all into one sentence: “At the end of the day, we need to create more trust than just intensity.”
