People rolled their eyes, that is, until the company that built it confirmed that it could do what he claimed and revealed that it had never publicly disclosed that feature. In the spring of 1967, an industrial mechanic and amateur geologist was inspecting a quartz deposit in the woods east of Winnipeg, when he saw two metallic craft approaching. One of the craft slowly descended and landed not far from him. Walking closer to inspect the object, he called out in several languages, asking if the pilots needed help.
