In the spring of 1967, an industrial mechanic and amateur geologist was inspecting a quartz deposit in the woods east of Winnipeg, when he saw two metallic craft approaching. One of the craft slowly descended and landed not far from him. Walking closer to inspect the object, he called out in several languages, asking if the pilots needed help.
When he got no response, he reached out to touch the strange object. It was warm, and when he pulled his hand back, the fingertips of his welding glove were melted. A hatch opened on the side of the ship, and inside he could see what looked like electronics, when suddenly the craft shifted, exposing a vent he hadn’t seen. Hot gas exploded from the vent, striking him in the chest, burning away his shirt and staggering him. When he managed to recover, he watched as the two objects lifted and flew away into the sky. What followed was weeks of medical evaluations, media interviews, and investigations.
This week, we examine one of the most famous UFO cases in Canadian history. Join us as we dive into The Falcon Lake Incident!
