    I am so excited to be entering into a new chapter, a new season of the podcast. Season 3 is here!!

    We have been on a fantastic ride over the last year and I am so excited to invite guests to join me on the podcast in Season 3.

  • 5 Ways to Upgrade your Health & Life

    In this episode I share 5 things you can try on your Health journey. As a health coach, I love to research and read about and experiment with different health related topics whether it be eating plans, exercises, shifts in mindset.

    These are things that have worked for me, and as I state in the episode, you are the single authority on what feels good to you and your body. So, I hope you find inspiration or ideas that spark a sense of curiosity and you try 1 thing.

    Many of the tips and information in this episode are nutrition shifts - taking away or reducing some foods, as well as adding some in.

    Claire Ketchum is the founder of The Peaceful Eating Method and Healthy Habits Coaching for Teens. She is a certified Health Coach through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, a certified Transformational Nutrition Coach through the Institute of Transformative Nutrition, and holds a BS in Psychology and Masters in Education.

    She is on a mission to teach Moms how to help their teens maintain a feel-good weight and positive body image in school and beyond, so they never yo-yo diet and always feel confident and happy in their own skin.

    This was a supportive conversation for those of us who want to both model and support our teens to create healthy habits now to help sustain them into adulthood.

    I appreciated Claire discussing the Chronic Stress Loop and reminding us to not bring our own trauma into the picture. Of course, that is a journey in and of itself, but a great reminder to pause and ask yourself - Why am I triggered by this? Am I upset with my teen or something from my past is coming up here?

    Finally, tuning into your body and listening to her signals, essentially caring for yourself is the best way to support your teens through their journey.

    Jeanette Yates, founder of The Self-Caregiver LLC, has dedicated her life to understanding the unique challenges of caregiving for aging parents. With a mission to empower caregivers to reclaim their time, energy, and well-being, Yates offers a compassionate and pragmatic approach to navigating the demanding role of caregiving. Her personal journey as a caregiver, starting at the age of eight, deeply shapes her perspective and informs her work today.

    Her book, From Guilt to Good Enough: A Caregiver's Journey of Overcoming Caregiver Burnout Through Healing Childhood Trauma, is coming out on February 11.
