I’m just going to say it: I don’t trust most doctors when it comes to chronic health.
And I know that’s going to piss some people off.
I’m not talking about emergencies. If I fall off a roof, break a bone, or my kid can’t breathe, I’m going to the hospital. I’m talking about the chronic health system—and my experience with being handed medications, procedures, and symptom management without anyone asking why my body is struggling in the first place.
episode 3.srt
In this episode, I share some of my own health history, including chronic pain, endometriosis, being told I needed a hysterectomy at 24, severe hormonal issues, and years of abnormal Pap smears. I talk about what happened when I stopped looking for another prescription and started looking at my lifestyle, nutrition, mindset, movement, and the way I was treating my body.
I also talk about one of my clients who had spent years searching for answers and finally started seeing changes when we approached her health differently—through intentional eating, somatic release, mindset, and learning how to actually listen to her body.
episode 3.srt
Because here’s what I believe:
Your symptoms are communication.
Pain, tension, exhaustion, hormonal issues, and other symptoms can be your body telling you that something needs attention—not simply something that needs to be silenced.
episode 3.srt
We are living in a world that constantly overstimulates and stresses our bodies, yet we’re expected to keep pushing through it. At some point, we have to stop asking, “How do I get rid of this symptom?” and start asking, “What is my body trying to tell me?”
episode 3.srt
This episode is personal. It’s ranty. And it’s exactly what I believe.
Doctors have their place. But they don’t have every answer. And sometimes, you have to start listening to your body.
