What if the patterns you keep repeating aren’t random?
In this episode of She Regulates, Sarah gets deeply personal and shares the story of some of the earliest wounds she carried into adulthood—from her parents’ divorce at six years old, to feeling emotionally unseen, learning to put everyone else first, and believing she had to make herself smaller in order to be loved.
She talks about how those early experiences followed her into relationships, where familiar wounds kept showing up in different people and different situations. She shares what it looked like to finally recognize the patterns, understand what her body had been carrying, and begin processing instead of continuing to push everything down.
Sarah also gets into her own health journey—including PCOS, painful periods, severe acne, kidney stones, nutrition, and the changes she experienced when she began approaching her body differently through food, mindset, somatic stretching, spirituality, and energy work.
This isn’t about blaming our parents or staying stuck in the past. It’s about recognizing what we learned, recognizing what we’re still carrying, and realizing that we can choose to stop passing it down.
Sarah shares the practices and perspectives that changed her relationship with her body and helped her feel lighter, calmer, healthier, and more connected to herself.

This is my story. This is what I learned. And this is why I do what I do.
