EP 792: See Yourself There to Be There

On this Let It Rip Friday, Linda Mitchell talks about the importance of being able to see yourself where you want to go before you ever get there.

Every dream starts somewhere, and often, it starts in your mind. Can you picture yourself achieving the goal? Can you see yourself walking into that room, stepping onto that stage, building that business, changing your body, or becoming the woman you know you're capable of becoming?

Sometimes we count ourselves out before we ever give ourselves a chance. We look at where we are right now instead of where we could be. But if you want to be there, you have to first see yourself there.

Linda encourages you to stop letting fear, doubt, circumstances, or other people's expectations determine what you believe is possible for your life. Give yourself permission to dream bigger and begin creating a vision for the woman you're becoming.

    In This Episode:

Why you need to see yourself succeeding before you get there, the power of visualization and belief, how your thoughts can either move you toward your goals or keep you stuck, why you shouldn't disqualify yourself before you even try, learning to picture yourself in rooms and opportunities that may feel bigger than you, taking action toward the life you envision, refusing to allow fear or other people's opinions to write your story, and becoming the woman you can already see in your mind.

You don't have to know exactly how you're going to get there.

See yourself there. Believe you belong there. Then start taking the steps that will get you there.

Because sometimes, before you can be there, you have to see yourself there.

  • Ep 973 Scott Spiezio: The Comeback Harder Than Winning the World Series
    2026/08/18
Show Notes: Scott Spiezio The Hardest Comeback What happens when you reach the pinnacle of success—and still find yourself fighting for your life? On this episode of the Sisterhood of S.W.E.A.T., Linda Mitchell sits down with two-time World Series champion Scott Spiezio for a powerful conversation about what happened after the championships, the applause, and the fame. Baseball fans remember Scott for his unforgettable three-run home run in Game 6 of the 2002 World Series, helping the Anaheim Angels complete an incredible comeback on their way to the franchise's first World Series championship. He later captured another World Series title with the St. Louis Cardinals in 2006. But Scott's hardest comeback happened away from the baseball field. In his new memoir, The Hardest Comeback, and documentary, SPIEZIO, Scott opens up about his battle with addiction, financial collapse, arrests, broken relationships, and the loss of the identity he had built around baseball. Linda and Scott talk candidly about hitting rock bottom, recovery, forgiveness, faith, surrender, and what it takes to rebuild your life when you believe you've fallen too far. They also explore a powerful question: What if the greatest victory of your life isn't the one everyone applauds? Sometimes we believe we know exactly how our lives are supposed to unfold. We make our plans, chase success, and try to control the outcome. But Scott's story is a reminder that there can be something much bigger on the other side of surrender, and that our hardest chapters can ultimately become the ones that give someone else hope. In This Episode, You'll Hear About Scott's unforgettable 2002 World Series momentWhat was happening behind the scenes while he appeared to be living the dreamLosing his identity after professional baseballHis battle with addiction and the road to rock bottomThe shame surrounding addiction, arrests, and broken relationshipsLearning to forgive yourself after making painful mistakesThe role faith and surrender played in his comebackWhy The Hardest Comeback was so difficult and necessary to writeWhat Scott believes being a "champion" means todayHis message to anyone who believes they have fallen too far to come back Scott's memoir, The Hardest Comeback, is available now wherever books are sold.
