This week, we're talking about NWA Trailblazers. This is part of our series on Northwest Arkansas cycling, and it is another organization we're featuring. NWA Trailblazers' mission is to lead the development of an innovative regional movement that places cycling trails and active transportation infrastructure at the heart of a vibrant, healthy, and sustainable culture. The vision is that Arkansas sets the national standard for world-class trails, cycling, active transportation, and outdoor recreation, fostering a thriving, connected, and engaged community.

You may not know this, but I live near one of the world's cycling meccas. Bentonville, Arkansas, has earned the title "Mountain Bike Capital of the World." It has also been called the "Disneyland of Mountain Biking." It features nearly seventy miles of trails in town and connects to 400+ miles of award-winning systems in Northwest Arkansas. It includes world-class trails like Slaughter Pen, Coler Preserve, and Back 40. It hosts major MTB events and has a vibrant biking community.

So, you know, there's actually a duck out there somewhere because I hear him. I, you know, I wanted to come out here, but didn't know if it would be safe, but it looks like it's gonna be pretty safe. At least right here, what I've seen so far, I have, there's at least a small path to go through. There's some ice on the trail, sometimes covering half of it or maybe more.
