• You’ve Come Further Than You Think: A Recover Your Soul Reflection for 2025
    2025/12/08

Send one way text to Rev Rachel

As we close out 2025, I want to invite you to take a gentle moment to recognize how much you’ve grown.

When you’re recovering from codependency, people-pleasing, and the habit of trying to manage everything around you, progress often shows up in quiet ways. A pause before reacting. A boundary you were once afraid to set. A moment of choosing peace over control. These shifts matter. They are the foundation of the Recover Your Soul Process.

In this episode, we look back together at the small but powerful changes that shape an entirely new way of being. Whether you arrived here through Al-Anon, through a painful relationship pattern, or through a longing to feel more connected to yourself, I want you to see just how far you’ve already come.

We talk about awakening, the year’s energetic shifts, and why so many sensitive souls are feeling called to release old stories and step into deeper truth. You are not alone. You are part of something unfolding, and your healing is part of that greater transformation.

Let this episode be a reminder: you are doing the work. You are waking up. And you deserve to feel proud of the courage it takes to reclaim your own life.

    Until next time,
    Rev Rachel

  • How to Stay Centered Around Family: Learning to Feel, Heal, and Allow
    2025/12/01

Send one way text to Rev Rachel

The holidays have a way of bringing everything to the surface - the joy, the love, the tenderness, and also the old stories, the anxieties, and the patterns we thought we were done with. Being around family gives us a front-row seat to our operating system, the parts of us that still tighten, protect, or try to keep the peace.

In this episode of Recover Your Soul, I talk about the real spiritual work of being with family while staying connected to yourself. We explore how to actually feel your feelings rather than suppress them, how to listen to the information they carry, and how to recognize when you’ve slipped into old roles of managing, pleasing, or fixing.

This is the heart of the Recover Your Soul Process - learning to turn inward with curiosity and compassion, letting the emotions arise without judgment, and allowing others to be exactly who they are.

My hope is that these reflections help you stay rooted in yourself through the holiday season - not armored, not shut down, but present, awake, and open to the deeper healing that is always happening beneath the surface.

You are allowed to feel what you feel. You are allowed to honor your needs. And you are

    2025/11/24

Send one way text to Rev Rachel

As we enter the holiday season, many of us feel the familiar pull of old patterns… the pressure to keep everyone happy, the fear of conflict, and the overwhelm of family dynamics. In this episode, we explore how gratitude can become a powerful spiritual tool. Not for fixing anyone else, but for staying grounded, present, and connected to your own inner peace.

I share simple Recover Your Soul practices you can use before, during, and after family gatherings to help you soften, breathe, release control, and return to yourself. These tools support you in choosing presence over perfection, compassion over judgment, and allowing over absorbing. You will learn more about:

    • gratitude as a lens that dissolves judgment
    • moving from control to spiritual sovereignty
    • holiday triggers, expectations, and old roles
    • powerlessness over others, power over self
    • family systems, secrecy, and generational healing
    • micro-gratitude and grounding practices
    • a separation-and-Thanksgiving boundary scenario
    • meditation as steady support for calm presence
    • choosing love, compassion, acceptance over fixing

  • Seeing Recovery, Codependency, and Addiction as a Path to Awakening to Recover Your Soul
    2025/11/17

Send one way text to Rev Rachel

Many of us arrive here because someone we love is struggling - addiction, depression, or the weight of life - and we’ve carried it all, believing we had to fix it. But what if the moments that feel like collapse, yours or theirs, are actually the opening your soul has been waiting for?

In this episode, we explore how “wall-hitting moments” can shift us from fear and managing to witnessing and allowing. I share from my own recovery from alcoholism and years of codependency, and how everything changed when I turned inward and began to recover my soul.

In this episode I talk about:

    • seeing someone else’s rock bottom as an invitation for your own awakening
    • moving from control to compassion
    • the difference between accepting and allowing
    • trusting each person’s unique soul path
    • finding your center even when others are not okay

My hope is that this conversation helps you soften, breathe, and come back to yourself remembering that your healing does not depend on someone else changing. You are guided, held, and never alone on this journey.

  • Are You Helping or Enabling? Finding Peace with Loving Detachment to Recover Your Soul
    2025/11/10

Send one way text to Rev Rachel

Are You Helping or Enabling? Finding Peace in Loving Detachment

It’s such a fine line - the space between helping and enabling - and that line looks different for every one of us.

In this episode, I talk about what it means to love and care for someone without losing ourselves in the process. In the Recover Your Soul journey, we’re learning to see through a new perception - one that honors the soul’s path, both ours and theirs.

Sometimes what we call “helping” is actually keeping someone from the discomfort or consequences they need to experience to grow. And sometimes, it truly is right to offer support. There’s no single answer. The work is to slow down, connect with your higher self, and listen for the truth that comes from your most healed and awakened heart.

As we recover, we begin to understand that suffering to save someone else doesn’t serve them - and it doesn’t serve us either. Real love allows others to walk their own journey while we stay centered in our peace, trust, and compassion.

If you’ve been trying to help someone and feel torn about what’s “right,” this conversation is for you.
Because Recovering Your Soul isn’t about getting it perfect — it’s about learning to love in a new way.

  • No Amount of Worry Will Change It: Learning to Trust Life’s Flow and Recover Your Soul
    2025/10/27

Send one way text to Rev Rachel

Do you ever find yourself awake at two in the morning, trying to solve everyone’s problems in your head? You’re not alone.

In this episode, I share honestly about my own patterns of worry and control — and how even after years of spiritual practice, those old habits still show up sometimes. Worry is only natural when we love deeply, but when it takes over, it pulls us out of faith and into fear.

Together, we’ll explore what it means to release worry through the Recover Your Soul Process, learning to trust that everything is unfolding for its highest good. I talk about the difference between making and creating, how to allow yourself to feel your feelings without attaching to them, and how spiritual teachings on impermanence can help us open to change instead of resisting it.

As Alan Watts reminds us, “No amount of anxiety (worry) makes any difference to anything that’s going to happen.” When we surrender the need to control, we make space for grace, and our hearts can finally rest in the steady flow of life.

  • What If I Stop Managing Everyone? Reclaiming Peace and Personal Power
    2025/10/20

Send one way text to Rev Rachel

When we’ve spent years managing, fixing, or worrying about everyone else, it can feel impossible to stop. But real peace begins the moment we let go of control and turn the attention to ourselves.

In this heartfelt episode, Rev. Rachel shares how a week camping with her family became a powerful lesson in loving detachment, boundaries, and spiritual sovereignty. Through laughter, worry, and grace, she discovered once again that control is an illusion—and that our peace is ours to reclaim.

You’ll learn how to use Steps Two and Three of the Recover Your Soul Process to shift from fear to faith:
Step Two – Recognize powerlessness over others and release the illusion of control.
Step Three – Notice the stories and beliefs that keep you stuck in worry or over-functioning.

Whether you’re a parent of adult children or simply someone learning to let go, this episode invites you to allow rather than manage, to stay curious instead of controlling, and to choose presence over perfection.

Because your serenity doesn’t depend on anyone else being okay—your serenity is your spiritual power.
