Melissa and Marc watched the CrossFit games this year, but they did not anticipate such an emotional rollercoaster. Lazar Dukic, one of the competitors lost his life during event one of the competition this year. There were so many emotions over the weekend. Marc and Melissa pushed back a previously schedule blog in order to write about the weekend and process some grief that surfaced as they bore witness to the grief of a community they hold dear. They later recorded this episode to talk about some of the things they took away from the weekend. Lazar, your death was an avoidable tragedy.
