  • Be Happy With Yourself
    2023/02/14

Happy Valentines Day! It's easy for this holiday to make those without that "special someone" feel empty. That's why in this episode, we talk about how sometimes its best for questions to go unanswered, for you to make your own closure, and overall: To feel confident in being (by) yourself. You don't need another half to complete you, because you're whole on your own. You've come a long ways, and your journey is only beginning!

  • Habitual Distractions
    2022/12/05

Habits are what define us, and we can only be as strong as our weakest habit allows. One of my worst habits is that I am chronically late to many events. After much thinking on why this is, I finally realized the culprit: Distractions

Allowing time for yourself to unwind and refresh is critical, but when consumed in excess the actual tasks at hand rapidly fall from grace in the brain. That's why in todays episode, I hope to shed some light on the issue at hand: Our phone's apps are gamified to trick our brain out of its natural conception of time. These developers knew this and depend on it for them to creative massive profits. Habits like social media feed off of repetition, as they become ingrained as a part of your daily routine, but the opposite can be said: Habits deteriorate if repetition is used against them.

In our last episode, we touched on the word "Maybe" and how we must do what we say. We are only as strong as our weakest habit will allows us to be.

  • "Maybe"
    2022/11/27

The word "Maybe" originated from the early 19th century, and is, in my eyes: Overused. It means nothing! It slows progress. But most importantly, it destracts you from the simple yes and no choices that help you ground yourself in day-to-day life. These "maybe's" can be verbal, but many of them are physical. Maybe you'll go out to the party or, maybe you finish your paper due tonight?

You owe it to yourself to make incremental changes today that can have a lasting impact tomorrow. But a "maybe" is not a choice. AI computers are on track to surpass human decision making? Why is that? Because computers programmatically do not accept "maybe" as a valid answer: only 1's and 0's, yes or no. Make those choices, choose a definite answer, and if your outcome isn't what you expected, then you must make a change to influence the outcome.
