  • When the People We Lean on Can’t Be There Forever
    2025/12/09

There is a stage of adulthood that no one talks about and no one prepares us for. It is the hardest stage to grow into. It is the stage we fear and try to avoid our whole life. But it's coming for all of us.

No, it's not the mid-life crisis. It's the stage of becoming an elder. It doesn't mean we've turned 80. It means we no longer have an elder we can turn to for sage advice, and we have to step into that role ourself. It can happen when we're very young or very old, but there eventually comes a time, if we live long enough, when we become the one everyone leans on for support.

In this podcast, I share 3 simple steps for how to step into this hard new role. I talk about how to face loneliness and being alone, old age and aging, and tapping into our inner strength and power. I discuss why it's painful, how to overcome it, and how to become the shining light of wisdom for ourself and others that we're all destined to be.

  • Is Your Mind Playing These 4 Tricks on You? How to Take Back Control of Your Mind
    2025/11/15

Our bodies respond to the thoughts in our head. We make choices because of our thoughts. And if we have a scary thought, we feel fear. If our thoughts are angry in nature, we feel anger. If we have worrying thoughts, we feel stressed and anxious. If they are positive, we feel good and happy.

We think reality effects our thoughts, but it is our thoughts that create our reality. Most of us simply have an untrained mind. Our mind is our master. The ego runs the show.

In this podcast, I talk about how our higher self can take back the reins of our mind. I discuss how our egos took control in the first place and the sneaky tricks it uses to hold on to power. And I share some simple solutions for taming the mind so that it becomes our loyal, helpful companion instead of our moody, needy, and impulsive boss.

  • How to Let Go of People Who Left (and Those You Must Leave)
    2025/09/23

One of the hardest times in anyone's life is when we lose someone who is still alive. Perhaps they cut us off, perhaps we cut them off, or perhaps it was mutual. But either way, the pain, regret, blame, and open wound of hope make this type of loss particularly difficult.

There are countless books written about grief. When someone we love passes, friends and family offer their support. But when we lose the living, we often suffer alone. Taking time to grieve seems strange and futile. So what can we do when a hole is left in our heart by someone who still walks this earth?

In this podcast, I share my own personal stories of family estrangement and family separation, abandonment and betrayal. I talk about what helped me get out of the darkest place of my life. I discuss the lessons I learned, what I wish someone had told me, and the healing that is possible.
