THE BLOODLINE OF GHOST TOWN TRAIL

A Story for the Quarry Shack 5 Miler

Deep in the mountains of Western Pennsylvania, the abandoned communities of Red Mill, Vintondale, Wehrum, and Claghorn hold secrets darker than the coal mines that once sustained them.

For generations, whispers have surrounded the mysterious Rook family, a murderous bloodline hidden deep in the Appalachian wilderness. Disappearances, unexplained deaths, and terrifying legends have haunted the Ghost Town Trail for more than a century.

At the center of it all stands an old stone shack, a place where the past refuses to stay buried.

As the years pass and the towns disappear, one horrifying question remains: Did the Rook family vanish with them, or are their descendants still watching from the woods?

Inspired by the real history and forgotten communities along Pennsylvania's Ghost Town Trail, this fictional horror story blends Appalachian folklore, murder, cannibalism, and generations of dark family secrets.

Some secrets are buried for a reason. Some bloodlines never die.

Did a little hunting. Bought some baseball cards and got some hosue work done. Took a break from as much exercise hoping to heal. Did go to PT.
