  • I Found Mold in My Apartment: My Health Update & What I’ve Learned
    2026/09/28

This is a very personal health update—and definitely not an episode I expected to be recording.

After dealing with ongoing health issues and feeling like something just wasn’t adding up, I started looking more closely at my environment. What followed was mold testing, apartment inspections, mycotoxin results, a LOT of questions, and ultimately the decision to move out of my apartment.

In this episode, I’m taking you through the entire story: what made me start questioning mold exposure, the symptoms I’ve been experiencing, my history of water damage in the apartment, what my testing showed, and what I’m doing now.

    I’m also talking about:

    • What indoor mold is and why moisture matters
    • Symptoms that can be associated with damp or moldy environments
    • What my personal symptoms have looked like
    • My experience with mycotoxin testing
    • Why mold and mycotoxin testing can be a controversial topic
    • What I’m doing with my belongings and apartment
    • How I’m supporting my body while going through all of this
    • What I wish I knew before this happened
    • Why it’s still important to investigate other potential causes of symptoms instead of blaming everything on mold

I’m still very much in the middle of this experience, so this isn’t a perfectly wrapped-up “before and after” story. I want to bring you along in real time and eventually update you on what changes—if anything—once I’m completely out of this environment.

    INTERESTED IN MYCOTOXIN TESTING?

RealTime Laboratories has given my community two discount codes:

KRISSYTOX10 — Get 10% off all eligible tests (excluding the Follow-Up Panel).

KRISSYTOX31 — Get $89 off their newest extensive mycotoxin test through September 30th.

    Shop RealTime Laboratories here:

As always, this episode is for educational purposes and is based on my personal experience. Mold-related symptoms can overlap with many other health conditions, and mycotoxin testing has limitations, so results should be considered within the context of your overall health and discussed with an appropriate healthcare professional.

  • Ask Dr. Kristina Telhami: Your Most-Asked Health Questions Answered
    2026/09/14

    You asked, I'm answering. 🎙️

In this episode, I'm answering some of the health and wellness questions I get asked ALL the time—from supplements and cortisol to bloating, acne, coffee, protein, birth control, and more.

We're keeping this one conversational and straight to the point. No overcomplicating wellness, no telling you that you need 15 supplements, and no pretending there's one perfect answer that works for everyone.

In this episode, we're talking about:

    • If I could only choose a few supplements, what would they be?
    • How do you actually know if your cortisol is high?
    • Is it normal to be bloated every day?
    • Does hormonal acne automatically mean your hormones are imbalanced?
    • Is coffee actually bad for your hormones?
    • How much protein do women really need?
    • My thoughts on hormonal birth control
    • Do you need electrolytes every day?
    • Are probiotics actually worth taking?
    • Should you eat before a morning workout?
    • Which wellness trends I wouldn't waste money on
    • The health habits I think are completely underrated

This episode is your reminder that health doesn't need to be as complicated as the internet makes it seem. Symptoms are clues, context matters, and more supplements, more restriction, and more wellness rules aren't always the answer.

Consider this your rapid-fire health Q&A with a functional medicine practitioner who wants you to understand your body—not become obsessed with optimizing every second of your life.

  • How to Stay Healthy While Traveling Without Ruining Your Vacation
    2026/09/07

Traveling doesn't have to mean choosing between enjoying yourself and staying healthy.

In this episode, I'm sharing exactly how I approach wellness while traveling—from the airport and hotel breakfast to restaurants, road trips, European vacations, cocktails, sleep, movement, and everything in between.

I'll share the realistic strategies I use to stay grounded in my health without obsessing over every meal or feeling like I need to "make up" for vacation when I get home.

    In this episode, we'll cover:

    • What I eat and pack for the airport
    • How I stay hydrated while flying
    • How I approach alcohol on vacation
    • How I order at restaurants without being overly restrictive
    • Eating pasta, bread, dessert & enjoying local food
    • My approach to hotel breakfasts
    • Easy road trip food ideas
    • How I manage sleep and jet lag
    • How I stay active without feeling like I need to work out constantly
    • What I bring in my travel wellness bag
    • What I do when I get home—and why I DON'T believe in detoxing after vacation

Most importantly, we'll talk about the mindset behind it all: your healthy lifestyle should be flexible enough to survive a vacation.

You should be able to travel, eat the pasta, have the wine, sleep in, explore a new city, enjoy time with the people you love—and come home without feeling like you've completely "fallen off the wagon."

Because wellness isn't about being perfect. It's about creating habits that allow you to live your life, too. ✈️💗

  • Wellness Myths That Need to Die: What I Actually Want You to Stop Doing
    2026/08/24

There is SO much health and wellness advice online—and a lot of it sounds convincing because it uses words like “hormones,” “detox,” and “inflammation.” But just because something is trending doesn't mean it's actually necessary for your health.

In this episode, I'm breaking down some of the biggest wellness myths I wish women would stop feeling pressured to follow. From going gluten- and dairy-free to detox teas, seed cycling, hormone-balancing supplements, food sensitivity tests, low-carb diets, intermittent fasting, and the idea that “normal” labs automatically mean you're healthy.

We'll talk about what actually deserves your attention, where some of these trends came from, and why your health should be personalized instead of dictated by the latest TikTok trend.

    In this episode, we'll cover:

    • Whether everyone really needs to be gluten- or dairy-free
    • Why detox teas aren't the answer
    • The truth about seed cycling and “hormone-balancing” foods
    • Why I don't believe everyone needs hormone-balancing supplements
    • What you should know about food sensitivity testing
    • Whether women actually need to avoid carbohydrates
    • The pros and cons of intermittent fasting
    • Why “normal” blood work doesn't always tell the whole story
    • The biggest wellness myth of all: that you have to be perfect to be healthy

My goal isn't to tell you that every wellness trend is completely useless. It's to help you understand when something actually makes sense for you—and when you're just spending money, restricting your diet, or creating unnecessary stress.

Because wellness should make your life better, not smaller. 💗
