    The postpartum mental health journey brings challenges for a lot of women. It's reported that 85% of women experience mood disturbances after having a child, with 15% of women developing postpartum depression and 15% reporting postpartum anxiety. 

    Yet, in a world where postpartum mental health issues are so common, it's still a challenge for women to ask for and receive the support they need to navigate this time.

    Afsaneh is a doctoral candidate in education and has a Masters in Education. As an educator and curriculum writer for over 20 years, she has worked with hundreds of students from preschool to graduate level.

    Afsaneh has led various teacher training workshops and has appeared on the Consciously Parenting Podcast, Authority Magazine, Mamas at Work Podcast, USLA Radio, Indigo Radio and more.

    Afsaneh enjoys homeschooling her child and lives in New York City and Oaxaca, Mexico.
