• 129. Dolly Parton's Human Design: What Her Chart Can Teach Us About Midlife Reinvention
    2026/08/31

Today, Lori honors Dolly Parton by exploring several pieces of Dolly's Human Design and what they can teach us as midlife women about energy, creativity, self-trust, identity, experimentation, and working with the limitations life gives us. Dolly was a Sacral Generator with the 3-60 channel of Mutation, and Lori explores the incredible creative force that can emerge when we learn to work with our own energy and cycles rather than constantly pushing ourselves to produce.

From Dolly's unapologetic approach to her appearance and persona to her willingness to experiment, learn, evolve, and become a role model through her lived experience, this episode is an invitation to look at your own Human Design differently.

    Key Takeaways:

*How are you using your creative life force?

*How are you using your authority?

*How can limitations help your creativity?

*How Dolly's sense of humor helped her deflect criticism

*What Dolly teaches us about an undefined G center

  • 128. Who Am I Now? College Drop-off, Mothering, Human Design & Midlife Reinvention
    2026/08/24

Who are you when the role you've spent years building your life around begins to change?

Midlife can bring a strange combination of grief, freedom, excitement, and uncertainty. Kids leave home. Careers shift. Relationships evolve. Our bodies change. And suddenly we're left asking a question we may not have had to ask in decades: Who am I now?

In this episode, Lori explores the identity shifts that come with midlife and the temptation to immediately fill the empty spaces with something new. Instead, she invites you to slow down, feel what's ending, get curious about what's emerging, and use Human Design as a tool for reconnecting with your own energy, authority, desires, and sense of self.

You don't have to have your next chapter figured out. You just have to be willing to meet the woman who's emerging.

    Key Takeaways:

    • What happens when the identity you've spent years building your life around starts to change?
    • How can something be exactly what you wanted and still break your heart?
    • Who might you discover when you're no longer defined by the roles you've been playing?
    • What does your future self have to teach the woman you are today?
    • Could not knowing actually be the beginning of something really good?
    • What does Human Design have to do with figuring out who you are now?
    • How the Pisces eclipse and Uranus square can help redefine your next chapter

  • 127. How to Reinvent Yourself in Midlife--Even When There Are So Many "Reasons" Not To: Becoming the Wild Woman
    2026/08/17

Have you ever wanted to make a change in your life, but found yourself thinking about what your partner, kids, parents, friends, coworkers, or everyone else might think? Sometimes the thing standing between us and the life we want isn't a lack of desire. It's the expectations we've absorbed from the people around us and the ways we've learned to keep ourselves comfortable, acceptable, and easy to live with.

In this episode, Lori shares a six-part roadmap for becoming the woman you actually want to be, even while you're in relationship with other people. This isn't about blowing up your life or ignoring the people you love. It's about deciding that your desires matter, getting specific about the life you're creating, and learning how to take small, intentional steps toward it.

    Key Takeaways
    • A bucket list for doing AND being
    • Are you letting someone else's expectations make your decisions for you?
    • What does your future self already know how to do?
    • The one-degree pivot: How tiny daily actions can begin changing your identity.
    • What does your "wild woman" look, feel, smell, and move like? Lori has an exercise for that.
    • Where to look in your Human Design for help

  • 126. The Blame Game: Midlife Shadow Work & Owning Your Sh*t: Human Design, Projection, Accountability & the Leo Eclipse
    2026/08/10

Sometimes people really are assholes. 😂 And sometimes the thing that's pissing us off about someone else is pointing directly at something we haven't wanted to look at in ourselves.

As eclipse season stirs things up, Lori is diving into the messy, uncomfortable territory of projection, shadow work, accountability, and self-leadership. When someone projects their fears, feelings, or patterns onto us, how do we discern what actually belongs to them and what is ours to examine? And when we're triggered, how can we use the experience as information rather than immediately deciding who's right and who's wrong?

With the Leo solar eclipse as the backdrop, Lori explores the shadow and light of Leo energy: the desire to be seen, recognized, and special, but also the ways we can suppress our own visibility and resent people who confidently take up space. She connects this to Human Design Strategy and Authority and the practice of coming back to what you actually know to be true for yourself rather than getting swept up in someone else's story about you.

And because this is midlife, there's another layer. Sometimes the discomfort is a sign that the identity, relationships, roles, and expectations we've carried for years are no longer fitting. Midlife can crack us open enough to question what we actually want, what we're willing to carry, and who we're becoming.

This episode is an invitation to stop asking only, "Who's at fault?" and start asking, "What's mine here?" Because self-leadership doesn't mean accepting everyone else's projections as truth. It means learning to recognize what isn't yours, take responsibility for what is, and use even the uncomfortable moments as an opportunity for growth.

    Key Takeaways:

    • How do you tell the difference between someone else's projection and your own shadow?
    • Your anger has a story. What might your trigger be trying to tell you?
    • Leo has a shadow side. Where might it be showing up in your life?
    • What does self-leadership actually require?
    • How do you separate what you know from what you've been conditioned to believe?
    • What if the conflict is part of the growth?
    • How midlife is an opportunity for rebirth into the wild woman

  • 125: How Fitting In Keeps You Stuck: Aquarius North Node, Your Midlife Freak Flag and Self Confidence, and Human Design
    2026/08/04

For most of our lives, we may have believed that confidence comes from fitting in, being liked, and earning approval. We learn to tone ourselves down, hide the parts of ourselves that seem "too much," and become who we think we're supposed to be. But what if that's exactly what's keeping us stuck? With the collective North Node's recent shift into Aquarius and the South Node into Leo, we're being invited to rethink what confidence really means and to consider whether our uniqueness is actually our greatest gift, not something to hide.

In this episode, Lori explores how the Aquarius-Leo nodal axis mirrors the journey from external validation to authentic self-expression. Through a hilarious story about an unforgettable middle school outfit, reflections on Human Design as the science of differentiation, and practical journal prompts, she shares why midlife may be the perfect time to stop shrinking yourself and start letting your freak flag fly. You'll leave with a new perspective on confidence, individuality, and how embracing your authentic design can become your greatest contribution to the world.

    Key Takeaways
    • How to ditch confidence built on other people's approval
    • The connection between the Aquarius North Node and embracing your individuality.
    • How Human Design reveals your special sauce.
    • Why midlife is the perfect season to peel back layers of conditioning.
    • Four journal prompts to help you reconnect with your authentic self.
    • How to stop waiting for permission and start becoming the main character of your own life.

  • 124: Stop Asking "What's Wrong With Me?" Ask This Question Instead in Midlife
    2026/07/27

Have you caught yourself asking, "What's wrong with me?"

It's one of the most common questions I hear from women in midlife. We compare ourselves to the woman we were ten or twenty years ago and assume that because we feel different—physically, emotionally, mentally—something must be wrong.

But what if that's the wrong question?

In this episode, I invite you to consider a different question. Instead of viewing midlife as a loss, what if it's a renovation? We'll explore why trying to get back to your "old self" may actually be keeping you stuck, and how Human Design can help you understand the woman you're becoming instead of mourning the one you've outgrown.

    Key Takeaways
    • The hidden assumption behind asking, "What's wrong with me?"

    • Why your younger self may not be the version you actually want back.

    • A simple mindset shift that changes how you experience midlife.

    • What your body might be trying to tell you through the changes you're experiencing.

    • How Human Design can reveal where you're forcing life instead of flowing with it.

    • The practical insight you'll gain from understanding your unique energetic blueprint.

If this episode resonated with you, share it with another woman who's been wondering if something is wrong with her. She may just need a different question.

  • Ep 123: How to Stop the Midlife Self-Pity Party: One Question & One HD Element to Get Unstuck Today
    2026/07/20

We all have moments when life knocks us flat. Midlife is full of them—career disappointments, relationship struggles, health changes, financial stress, empty nests, and dreams that didn't unfold the way we imagined.

Feeling your feelings is healthy. It's necessary. (See episode 118)

But what happens when processing turns into mental loops you can't get out of? When self-compassion slips into self-pity? When being right about your circumstances starts costing you your peace?

In this episode, I'm exploring the fine line between honoring your emotions and getting stuck in the story. We'll talk about why curiosity is one of the fastest ways back to your power, how Human Design can help you reconnect with your inner wisdom, and why sometimes the most transformative thing you can ask isn't "Why me?" but "What now?"

If you've been feeling stuck lately, this episode is an invitation to stop reliving the same chapter and start writing the next one.

    Key Takeaways
    • The subtle shift that tells you you've moved from healing into self-pity.

    • Why being "right" about your situation may be keeping you stuck.

    • The simple question that can change your perspective in an instant.

    • How Human Design can help you find your next aligned step.

    • Why your emotions deserve to be honored but not handed the keys to the kingdom.

    • Why we genuinely all need someone to hold up a mirror from time to time.

    • How a Human Design reading can help you see beyond the story you've been telling yourself.
