You feel a certain way and that must mean something, right? Maybe not..exactly. Today, Lori dives into the difference between feelings and emotions, the four types of emotional waves and how to discern well enough to make the big decisions that come as a part of midlife.
The goal isn't to dismiss your emotions or convince yourself that what you're feeling isn't real. It's to develop enough awareness to separate the physical experience of emotion from the story your mind creates about it and, if you have an emotional wave, learn to recognize where you are within that wave.
Key Takeaways:
- The actual differences between emotions and feelings
- The four different emotional waves: Source, Tribal, Individual, and Collective
- Why knowing where you are on your emotional wave can change the way you approach big midlife decisions
- How to start tracking your emotional wave alongside your menstrual cycle, menopause symptoms, or other changes in your body

Homework:
Pull up your Human Design chart and look at your Emotional Solar Plexus.
Is it defined or undefined?
If it's defined:
- Which emotional channels do you have?
- Do you have one wave or multiple waves?
- What does your emotional high feel like in your body?
- What does your low feel like?
- What thoughts tend to show up when you're at each point in the wave?
Start tracking it.
Bonus: track where you're at in your cycle and how your body feels alongside it.
