• 21 | Why Men Fall Apart After 40 (It's Not What You Think)
    2026/09/08

That noise you make when standing up from the couch isn’t just your back talking—it’s the bill coming due after years of compounding neglect.

After 30+ years in clinical practice, I’ve learned that men over 40 rarely struggle with just one thing. It’s a 3-part cycle:

❌ Physical: Fatigue & stiff joints ❌ Mental: Loss of drive & clarity ❌ Spiritual: Coasting instead of stewarding your calling

Fixing it doesn’t require extreme 2-hour daily beatdowns. It requires the T.E.A.M. Method:

🧠 Thinking (Habits follow identity) 🥩 Eating (Fuel the temple, don't torture it) 🙏 Asking (Break isolation; seek God and brothers in faith) 🏋️ Moving (Sustainable strength to fight sarcopenia)

In today's episode, I go into the reasons why guys fall apart after 40 and what you can do about it.

    I pray this blesses you.

  • 20 | Why Most Men Over 40 Quit (And the Kingdom Habit that Prevents It)
    2026/09/01

That voice in your head screaming "Not today, stay comfortable" has a name: The Flinch.

Here’s what’s actually happening: Your amygdala—the ancient survival part of your brain—has one job: keep you safe, comfortable, and alive.

In our modern world of climate control and instant comfort, that survival mechanism has become a prison.

For men over 40, "safe and comfortable" is the fast track to:

    ❌ Sarcopenia (muscle loss)

❌ Metabolic decline & low energy

❌ Clothes fitting tighter every year

❌ A spirit that forgets how to lead and fight

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” — 2 Timothy 1:7

Growth doesn't happen in the padded room of comfort. It happens when you train your body and mind to obey your spirit.

    I pray this blesses you.

  • 19 | The Top 3 Ways to Increase Your Energy Naturally for Guys Over 40
    2026/08/25

    Let’s be real.

If you’re hitting the coffee hard by 10:00 AM and coming home to your wife and kids running on fumes, you aren’t just tired—you’re being sidelined from the mission.

You can’t lead your family, excel at work, or serve your ministry if you’re perpetually exhausted. But here’s the good news: Fatigue isn't a life sentence for men over 40. It’s often just a sign that your "Temple" needs a better rhythm.

In the latest episode of Men’s Fitness After 40, we dive into how to increase your energy naturally using the PMS Framework (Physical, Mental, Spiritual).

Two quick "Kingdom Habits" you can start TOMORROW:

1️⃣ The Kingdom Cocktail: Before you touch that coffee, drink 16oz of water with a pinch of Celtic Sea Salt. Plain water often flushes through you; the minerals in the salt are the "keys" that let hydration into your cells to create real energy (ATP).

2️⃣ The Circadian Anchor: Get natural sunlight in your eyes within 30 minutes of waking. This "starts the clock" for your hormones and ensures you actually have energy when you need it most.

Stop borrowing energy from caffeine that you haven’t fueled for.

It’s time to reclaim your God-given energy.

    I pray this blesses you.

  • 18 | Atomic Habits... or Kingdom Habits to Get In Shape After 40?
    2026/08/18

Why British Cycling stopped losing (and how you can too)

In 2003, British Cycling was so bad that manufacturers didn't even want them using their bikes for fear of hurting sales. 🚲

Then they hired Dave Brailsford. He didn't demand a massive overhaul. Instead, he looked for the "Aggregation of Marginal Gains"—a 1% improvement in everything.

They did the obvious stuff, but then they went deeper: ✅ Better pillows for sleep. ✅ Hand-washing protocols to avoid illness. ✅ Even painting the inside of the team truck white to spot tiny bits of dust.

The result? Within 5 years, they dominated the Olympics.

Men, at 40 and 50, we often think we need "Herculean" effort to get back in shape. We don't. We need stewardship of the small things.

Get 1% better today in your Physical, Mental, and Spiritual fitness—the PMS pillars. By next year, you’ll be 37x better.

    I pray this blesses you.

  • 17 | The Science of "Gut Instinct": How to Eat for Better Decisions and a Better Body
    2026/08/11

If your gut is a mess, your mindset will be too. 🧠📉

Most men think "fitness" is just about the gym. But as a man over 40, your greatest asset is your MIND.

Science calls your gut the "Second Brain." If your gut is inflamed, your focus is foggy. If your gut is sluggish, your energy for your family and ministry is depleted.

In our latest episode, we’re diving into the Gut-Brain Axis. We discuss: ✅ Why "Brain Fog" is often a gut issue. ✅ The Kingdom Habit of stewarding your physical "engine." ✅ How to feel great in your clothes (and your skin) again by fixing your microbiome.

You can’t lead at 100% if your body is fighting itself. It’s time to build God-given strength from the inside out.

    I pray this blesses you.

  • 16 | The 60-Second Habit to Fix Your Posture and Shoulder Pain
    2026/08/04

Did you know your grip strength is one of the #1 predictors of how long you’ll live?

As men over 40, we aren’t just training for the mirror anymore—we’re training for longevity and "God-Given Strength".

The Dead Hang is the ultimate "Minimum Effective Dose" habit. It decompresses your spine (goodbye, lower back pain), opens up your shoulders, and builds a grip that says you aren't slowing down.

I’m breaking down why this is a non-negotiable Kingdom Habit in this episode of Mens Fitness after 40.

    I hope this blesses you.

    2026/07/28

Does your wife think you have PMS? 🤔

No, not that kind. I’m talking about the Male PMS Cycle.

If you’re over 40 and you find yourself: ❌ Snapping at the kids because the coffee took too long. ❌ Making "oof" and "argh" sound effects just to stand up. ❌ Feeling like your brain has 50 browser tabs open at once.

...you aren't just "getting old." You’re in a PMS Flare-up: Physical, Mental, and Spiritual neglect.

In this episode of Men’s Fitness after 40, I’m breaking down how to stop the "moodiness" and start building Kingdom Habits that actually stick.

It’s time to stop reacting to your life and start directing it.

    I hope this blesses you.

  • 14 | The Comparison Trap: Why Your 20-Year-Old Self is a Health & Fitness Liar
    2026/07/21
Your 20-year-old self is a health and fitness liar. 🤥

You know the feeling. You’re at the gym, or maybe just getting dressed for work, and you find yourself doing "The Math."

    • “At 20, I could bench 225 without a warm-up.”
    • “At 20, I could eat a whole pizza and wake up with abs.”
    • “At 20, I was the man.”

We call it The Comparison Trap, and it’s a cage. A good number of men over 40 aren’t too far out of shape; they’re just haunted. They are chasing the Ghost of 20-Year-Old Past—a version of themselves that doesn't exist anymore and, frankly, isn't invited to the mission God has for them today.

Here’s the truth that Ghost won’t tell you:

That 20-year-old version of you was "fit" by accident. He had youth on his side, but he didn't have your wisdom. He didn't have your leadership. And he certainly didn't have the Kingdom responsibilities you carry right now as a husband, father, and leader.

When you try to train like a 20-year-old, you end up with: ❌ Ego-lifting injuries ❌ Burnout from impossible standards ❌ A sense of failure because you can't do "that" anymore.

It’s time to kill the ghost.

Your calling at 45, 55, or 65 requires a different kind of strength. It’s not about "Glory Days" performance; it’s about Kingdom Stewardship.

It’s about building the habits that allow you to feel great in your clothes again, lead your family with energy, and show up for the mission God has placed in your hands today.

    Stop comparing. Start Stewarding.
