  • Thursday Thoughts - People Pleasing
    2025/08/14

On today’s Thursday Thoughts, Lucy & I are talking about people pleasing.

We all do it - particularly women - but is it actually serving us? The need to belong and be liked often sees us doing or saying things that aren’t in alignment with who we truly are.

When we put the needs of others above our own, we often end up feeling resentful and depleted, which is no good for anyone!

In this conversation, Lucy and I give examples of how we’ve both been people pleasers in the past, but how we’re now much more discerning about what we say yes to and - importantly - what we say no to.

We hope you’ll find something useful in here.

    Love,
    Polly & Lucy x

    2025/08/12

This week on Menomorphosis, I’m joined once again by the wonderful Karen Newby — nutritionist, author, and the go-to guide for using food to support your body through menopause.

We’re diving into her brand-new book, The Natural Menopause Method Cookbook — a refreshing, symptom-led approach that takes the guesswork out of eating well during this life stage. Think less “follow this diet” and more “nourish yourself in ways that meet you exactly where you are.”

Karen shares her wisdom on food as medicine, how it can help manage menopause symptoms, and how we can make simple yet nourishing meals part of our everyday menopause care.

    What you’ll learn:

    • How to choose meals based on how you’re feeling (e.g., irritable, fatigued, or brain fogged)
    • The powerful connection between food and menopause symptoms like anxiety, poor sleep, and midsection weight gain
    • Why digestion matters just as much as the food you eat, and how to optimise it
    • Simple, nourishing, and time-saving recipes that anyone can whip up – no culinary skills required!
    • How cooking can become an act of self-love and nourishment, rather than just another task on your to-do list

If you’re looking for ways to improve menopause symptoms with food and add more easy to cook and nourishing meals to your life, this episode is packed with practical tips and inspiration.

  • Thursday Thoughts - It's the Small Things That Change Your Life
    2025/08/07

On today’s Thursday Thoughts, Lucy and I are talking about how it’s not the big dramatic changes that transform your life… It’s the small habits.

    • How you spend your mornings
    • How you speak to yourself
    • What you feed your mind
    • Who gets your energy—and your access.

These small choices might seem insignificant, but they shape your days… and your days shape your life.

In this conversation, we unpack why the small stuff is actually the big stuff.
We hope you find something useful in here.

  • #135: Your Life Is a Masterpiece - Living Creatively with Pia Mailhot-Leichter
    2025/08/05

This week on MENOMORPHOSIS, I’m joined by the wonderful Pia Mailhot-Leichter — author of Welcome to the Creative Club: Make Life Your Biggest Art Project. Pia is a writer, speaker, creative guide, and an all-round permission-giver when it comes to designing a life that feels aligned, courageous, and meaningful.

We talk about what it really means to live creatively—not just in art or writing, but in how you move through the world, how you connect with others, and how you honour the quiet whisper of your intuition.

Pia’s view of creativity is radically inclusive: it’s not about being “good” at something—it’s about paying attention, being brave, and allowing life to be playful and expressive again.

If you’ve ever felt stuck in a role, a routine, or a version of yourself that no longer fits, this episode is your permission slip to begin again—and start crafting a life that feels deeply, colourfully yours.

    In this episode, we explore:

    • Why creativity is for everyone—not just artists or writers
    • How to stop performing and start expressing from your true self
    • The power of curiosity, courage, and everyday rituals in unlocking creative flow
    • How to navigate fear, resistance, and the inner critic with compassion
    • What it means to be the creator of your life (and how to begin)

Whether you think of yourself as creative or not, this conversation will shift how you see your own story, your choices, and the way you show up in the world.

  • Thursday Thoughts - NSDR (Non Sleep Deep Rest)
    2025/07/31

On this week's Thursday Thoughts, Lucy and I are talking about NSDR - Non Sleep Deep Rest.

Similar to meditation or breathwork, NSDR can help take us out of our monkey minds and bring us back into our bodies. It helps take us out of our sympathetic nervous system, and into our parasympathetic nervous system - our ‘rest and digest’ state.

So many of us are in a state of stress and anxiety far more than we should be, and a short NSDR practice can make a huge difference.

I have three different NSDR recordings available on my website which you can access by clicking on this link https://www.pollywarren.com/offers/TDoFGvUj

We hope this conversation was helpful!

  • #134: Why Weight Loss Jabs Don’t Heal the Real Hunger with Rebecca Donoghue
    2025/07/29

This week on Menomorphosis, I’m joined by hypnotherapist Rebecca Donoghue for a powerful, honest conversation about one of the most emotionally charged topics right now: weight loss jabs — and the stories our bodies carry through midlife.

This isn’t about shame, and it's definitely not about blame. It’s about awareness. Because the truth is — we don’t reach for food or quick fixes because we’re weak. We reach for them because a part of us is trying to feel safe, and most of us were never taught how to meet that need without self-abandoning in the process.

    In this episode, we explore:✨

    • Why weight loss jabs might treat a symptom - but never rewire emotional eating
    • The key question to ask if you keep repeating the same food and self-care patterns
    • How to untangle your identity from your appearance, without losing your ambition
    • The deeper emotional and energetic drivers behind the urge to control your body
    • What actually helps change stick — and why your ‘why’ matters more than any tool

Whether you’ve tried the jab, judged the jab, or feel stuck between extremes — this episode brings nuance, clarity, and compassion to a topic most people oversimplify.

  • Thursday Thoughts - Holidays
    2025/07/24

On this week’s Thursday's Thoughts, Lucy and I are talking all things holidays.
I’ve just come back from a wonderful two-week break in Turkey — and yes, it was wonderful.

But we’re also diving into something a little deeper… What does it mean if the only time you feel truly relaxed, calm or happy is when you’re away?

Holidays are a beautiful reset, a chance to switch off, change the scenery, and reconnect, but the real magic? It lies in creating a life you don’t constantly need a break from.

Because ultimately, aren’t we all just searching for more calm, joy, and lightness in our everyday lives?

So the question becomes: how can we bring more of that holiday feeling home with us?

We hope you find something helpful in here.
