Jesus never said that the Christian life would be one of bliss. In fact he said the opposite - He said that we can expect trouble this side of Heaven, and sometimes that trouble can be quite devastating and tragic, but even in the most difficult of times, God is still good, and even the toughest moments are part of His plan. What can we do for the kingdom of God?
