Who keeps watch over the world while we sleep?

Nicolás Arce returns to the old station for a forgotten set of keys. There, he finds an impossible assembly: an owl, a cricket, two bats, a moth, a mysterious woman, and Kókoro, the black cat who seems to know when someone is about to leave too soon.

But one visitor is missing. Behind a wall, a scraping sound ends in a low moan. As the rain falls, Nicolás must decide whether to stay beside the door or help discover what is happening on the other side.

A story of gentle mystery, unexpected humor, and small acts of courage, accompanied by cinnamon, warm bread, and a new way of noticing those whose work begins while others rest.
